Son wants to watch a properly scary film. What's available on UK streaming?

I think your son is mid teens, right? What classics has he seen? I feel like he's the right age to experience The Exorcist.

Not far off that I think

The original IT terrified me as a 13yr old. But then I don’t like clowns at all.

I was 10 when my dad put Hellraiser on. That was a bit much.

    Good call. Ditto.

In terms of gore I remember Robocop being the one I watched which I shouldn't really have been allowed too.

American Werewolf in London did me in as a kid.

Nine Dead. Quite possibly the worst film I've ever seen. Plot, acting, production... all comically poor.

I generally save that award for this, which I was forced to watch back in the days when I reviewed films. I am confident it is still the worst film that I've ever seen. It couldn't have tried harder. And missed every time.

Finished Creed III. A total Nothing burger film. I think the series is finished now.

Got round to watching this. I agree. There was a lot of Clubber Lang in there to go with the stereotypical Disney storyline. Boxing sequences were very well filmed but felt very sterile. We don't need more in the series now.

Watched Bull yesterday. A low budget indie gangster film with a twist. Really quite brutal and much better than I thought it would be.

I watched that last week, I was really enjoying it, it moved fast and as you said was quite brutal.
I am not sure that I liked the twist though, I'm not sure if that spoilt it for me, but I'm not sure how else they could have ended it (don't want to say top much and give spoilers)

That is the first not entirely positive review I have heard from someone who isn't one of those people.

It’s the Hillary Clinton of movies. It doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad… the worst people hate it so hard you’ve just gotta get on board.

I hear what you saying and it left me a bit....."oh" but further down the line, it was so totally not signposted that I was good with it.

Highlander 2 is insane. It's totally at odds with the whole canon and makes no sense at all.
