Watched Weapons tonight. I think Cregger is one of those directors I'm just not going to get on with, I didn't like Barbarian as much as most people did and I didn't like Weapons much either. He's got a surrealist comedy style that I find annoying, it reminds me of things like The League Of Gentlemen which I hated. It wasn't scary in the slightest.

Rewatched Hackers last night. It's a classic for many reasons, including 20 year old Angelina Jolie in her breakout role and a soundtrack that's basically the greatest hits of 90s techno.

No, dipstick, that was Swordfish, also a movie about hackers.

Indeed. Hackers only gives you a fleeting glimpse of Jolie's pre-enhancement jugs, but she still looks absolutely spectacular. (In fact I'd make an argument that pre-enhancement she was even hotter, but YMMV.)

There was an interview with Travolta, talking about the movie's opening success, where he went on about how he was back and the audience loves him, intercut with people saying they went to see the movie only because of Halle Berry's exposure.

Swordfish was utterly wank and I only remember Halle Berry’s chest… so yay success.

Watched the new Superman over the weekend. It was more style over substance but I enjoyed it all the same. The Lex Luther character was good too.

    Anyway carry on.

    Chicago: Flying By.

Finally got round to watching Punch-Drunk Love. Wish I hadn't bothered, what a pile of shit. The list of PTA movies I have actually enjoyed remains at 1 (Licorice Pizza).

The New Naked Gun is horrendously bad. Not funny at all. Big Shame. Wanted to like it. Not sure why Liam Neeson is even in it. Not his fault I Suppose.

Because of that we went full gay and watched K Pop: Demon Hunters and liked it!

In a change of Direction, The New Ozzy Documentary is Upliifting and in turns heartbreaking. Ozzy really was a remarkable human being and the struggles he had in the last six years due to a botched Neck operation and how he coped with it is well worth watching. Really moving. I shed a tear or two and so did wifey who wasn't a massive fan. Got to tell the rest of the Osbourne clan to stay off the plastic surgery and Ozempics too. Blimey they look weird.

i really really wish I had made the effort to go to that Concert but in typical fashion I didn't..

    Chicago: Big Softy.

Play Dirty on Prime. Wouldn't bother. Mark Wahlberg on autopilot and a female lead (Rosa Salazar) who seemed to struggle with acting.

The Flash was on tv here and it's really weird bad. Moments of emotional manipulation wrapped in terrible nostalgia CGI and messed up fan service.
No idea what they were going for, but I hope it wasn't what they got.

Watched Irreversible tonight. The first time I saw it was a bunch of years ago and all I remembered was the scenes it got banned for. I had either forgotten, or more likely not realized, what a magnificent piece of work it is. If you haven't seen it you really should.

One Battle After Another is an acid trip of a thrill ride. Featuring some wild and demented characters. It is a Paul Thomas Anderson film but you could easily mistake it for a Tarantino film. Sean Penn plays the ugliest character you could possibly imagine and yet he pulls it off. The actress who plays Dicaprio's girlfriend is a firebrand of a character and is the fulcrum for all the unhinged behaviour in the film. A towering performance of sexuality and insecurity. The scene stealer though is not only the actress who plays the daughter but Benicio Del Toro who is just flat out funny. It is a chaotic film for Chaotic times. I really enjoyed it. My right wing nutjob chiropractor called it propoganda. So it evokes emotions in everyone. It is almost Preposterous in places but yet in today's day and age it could almost be believable. That is how bonkers the film and everything has become.

Only the second film I have seen at the cinema this year but well worth the time even if it is Dizzying at times. Anarchic even.

    Spazoid loads of Tricerators..

    Chicago: Borederline Revolutionary.

So I finally (hopefully) got the photo to upload of the scene from Last Crusade I’m in. As I mentioned, I’m the one all the way on the left, about midway down, behind the bloke in a beret, looking right at Harrison Ford.

I'm not sure you want to be posting pictures of yourself dressed as a Nazi on the net (winky thing).
