Liam Neeson is a good actor who just can't be arsed usually.

Late to this but Godzilla Minus One is good, innit?
Borderlands: should be a big winner at the Razzies. Truly awful other than for Cait Blanchet who I have a thing for.
Kneecap: Essential watching. Properly funny
I've only seen trailers for that...the thing that struck me was: Is that an AI cate blanchet...or has she had so much joan rivers makeup that she looks completely unreal...or is that a component of the role?
Whichever way, I completely switched off. I find the modern trend for completely fake faces depressing, sinister, and unappealing.
In a World where CGI effects are comparatively 10 a penny, they really spent a penny on the effects on this one.
There are cheap 80s films with much better work
Companion was terrific. Do not watch the trailer or read about it before watching.
Sinners
Really promising first half. Second half descends into some 80s am dram vomit that made me want to shit in my hands and throw it at the screen. Whoever was the musical director needs a slow and very painful death. To have had such a heritage of tunes to work with and come out that pish is unforgivable
Had an exceptionally shitty work day yesterday and just wanted to watch something brainless, so went with Working Man as two hours of Jason Statham punching, kicking and shooting people sounded like just the ticket. Even by the standard of Statham movies it was astonishingly terrible. In the old days we would have called it a straight to video release.
Do not recommend.
Statham's Beekeeper was excellent, though. The was probably a lot of wish-fulfillment in it for me personally though.
Watched 1939 Wizard of Oz yesterday for reasons @Jeff_Albertson will understand. Was pretty shit.
That scared the absolute living shit out of me as young child.
Properly terrified.
I was surprised my 6 year old sat through it tbh.
Were you playing Dark Side of the Moon at the same time?
I enjoy the Echoes/2001 synch up far more.
You're being overly kind with this review. The Stath is usually quite knowing but how this ever got made is beyond me. It's a bit Bruce Willis desperate end of career for Dosh.
Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning First hour is pretty dull as there's just a lot of talking and explaining who everyone is when we already know, middle bit was much better but went on too long with little idea of where he had to get to; last bit one of the best sequences they've done.
Nice callbacks to the first and third films in particular. Great job of casting charismatic actors - Nick Offerman, Jamet McTeer, Hannah Waddingham, Tramell Tillman - in what would otherwise be nothing roles. Well worth seeing but some way off the best in the series.
Tom Cruise should have invented a time machine and punched a Triceratops.
