Wifey was out of town. Was going to watch Malignant and then Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes. Didn't. For some weird reason I watched Gozilla x Kong - The New Empire. One of the worst films I have ever seen. Absolutely gash. Zero Triceratops. Not even sure why the film was made. Probably because they thought they could create a monster universe but none of it makes sense and it's rubbish.

Guess I should have watched the first two.

    Chicago: Monster mashed.

Edit: I liked Late Night With The Devil but found the ending to be messy and disappointing which is a shame because the acting was great.

I'm not saying Godzilla x Kong is a good film, but it was pretty much exactly what I was expecting from it.

If anyone is opening a can of beer and curry shit then that’s on them. Or watching Godzilla vs Kong.

I watched Furiosa on the plane. I’d forgotten it was released, it seemed to get buried amongst releases. Anyway, I thought it was very good.

I watched it. Odeon Limitless pass so no incremental cost.

My Old Ass and Bad Boys for Life this weekend. My Old Ass doesn’t add up to too much although it is sweet. The lead actress is fucking excellent though. A truly mesmerizing performance. Aubrey Plaza being her older self is always cool because she is weirdly sexy. Anyway inoffensive film with tremendous actors.

Bad Boys ride or die is incredibly silly and very entertaining. I am convinced that Martin Lawrence was completely high throughout the filming of the whole thing. Highly amusing moments and non stop action. Story is paper thin but who cares. It’s totally fun. It deserves a fair few triceratops for keeping me awake on Saturday night. Will smith has been on the pies though.

    Chicago: Bad Boy For Life.

Deadpool and Wolverine. Very meta, crap story, half an hour too long, but also very funny at times and has some excellent cameos.

We've got Disney until the end of the month. I wanted to watch it, so checked with Mrs Simon whether she wanted to watch or if I should watch it on my own - she decided she wanted to. Spent the first hour explaining who everyone is and most of the jokes, the next 15 minutes replying to "why is nothing happening - there's no plot" and then watched the remainder on my own.

    Agree with your assessment.

I watched it on Sunday. Agree, it’s nowhere near as good as the other 2 and miles off what people were raving about.

Got about half way through before it bored me too much. And I will watch just about any old shit.

Deadpool and Wolverine is as described above. Replacing jokes with references like a Peter Kay bit. And a whole chunk should have been cut out of the middle.
I like Matthew McFadyen in many things, but he's an actor with depth rather than range, coming across as halfway between Richard E Grant and Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Saw Gladiator 2 last night. It was OK, nothing more. Pretty much a direct copy of the original, but inferior in every way.
