She's bonkers engaging with all this IMO. She can write what she wants, but forever everyone is going to think she's dodgy whether it was the truth or not. Take the cash. Get your head down. Move on. Stop stoking the flames with STATEMENTS.

Well shit. I still get the comics (I know Tricky I know!!!) and the Karl Urban Dredd was excellent for what it was.

I know Dredd essentially was a satire but for such a savage future I cannot see how they could make it a comedy. I would have been far more pleased with a television series which didn’t come to fruition.

Anyway, love Dredd worried it could be a disaster.

There's a ton of humour in the Dredd comics, I'm just not convinced that Waititi is the right person to capture it. He makes dark things light, Dredd and MC1 do not need light or silly. Even the most lighthearted stories like Fatties are rooted in darkness and rot and corruption.

I'd love to see Necropolis or The Judge Child be made into a TV show.

Introduced Little Miss BW to the first three Bourne films. Still a great watch after 20-odd years.

Judge Child would be a very good film. As would the Cursed Earth. i wouldn't mind an early Orlok the Assassin entry. Block Mania maybe?

The TV series would definitely have explored all the crazy trends and chaos Of Mega City One. That wouldn't probably be captured in a film. I wouldn't be suprised if they made America or Chopper films too.

Lots to digest. The Dark Judges would be a little soon for a world that needs to be explored before being destroyed...

Currently reading 17, might need a new book case by the time I've collected them all.

I read the books way back when and loved them. As ever the books have much more depth than the films. Might have to revisit them sometimes.

Yep, I picked up the first one at a second-hand bookshop a while back and have just started reading it.
