Are there lots of subtitles? My eyesight isn't good enough to read them at the cinema any more.

Beverly Hills Axel F does what it says on the Tin. Much better than Cop II and III but not a patch on the original. Actually made me laugh a fair few times. Total nonsense of course but entertaining and well made considering everyone is pushing extinction rate. The gal who plays the daughter is also very pleasing to the eye which has nothing to do with anything other than making me most pleased for picking this film for a Saturday night at home.
Chicago: Nostalgia man.
Agreed, it was pretty terrible but a good hangover on Sunday morning movie.
Count me in on the Axel F love in. Won't change your life but will give you a laugh. Also liked the way they kept it 80s approach without it getting too kitsch. Have some beers or a joint and put it on.
I watched about 30 minutes last night and thought it was pretty awful. But honestly, it probably has the same level of action/style/content as the original. I will probably watch the rest tonight. While doing some work. It's not the type of thing I'm going to make an 'event' out of.
Watched Saltburn last night. Very good, but not as good as Promising Young Woman.
....okay. But only if 'the laugh' makes plenty of appearances. I'm not in, unless the laugh is in.
Watched Love Lies Bleeding and Anyone But You on the plane. The former is a terrific film but not ideal for watching on a plane because it's pretty steamy and violent. The latter is an entirely formulaic and likeable romcom that is ideal for watching on a plane.
Might give this a go tonight (if we can get Little Miss BW to bed on time).
Promising Young Woman is a great film. Monkey Man isn’t but we watched it anyway. It has some interesting ideas and then loses its mind 3/4 through the film and becomes Termi-monkey, John Wick and fhe Raid 2.
Anyway it passes the time even if it starts to make your head spin near the end. Dev Patel isn’t bad as an action hero though.
Chicago: Stress monkey.
Got about three-quarters of the way in, before stopping to watch news at ten to get the latest on the Biden stuff.
Very much enjoying the film so far.
Had a rare few hours without Little Miss Shady yesterday, so went to the cinema mid afternoon on my own to see The Bikeriders. Was good. Kind of like Sons of Anarchy but a short ish film. Jodie Comer looking hot as always.
If anything, this just makes me want to watch it more.
MaXXXine is really fun. Not quite up to the level of X or Pearl but it rounds out the trilogy well.
Ah. Those were the films made just down the road from here. I don't really watch much horror, so I wondered why the names sounded familiar.
