Movie stars weren’t so shredded back in olden times.. mainly because people hadn’t worked out the (usually horribly unhealthy) ways to get like that. I reckon Connery was in very good nick for the time though.

The early ones. By Diamonds are Forever he was as (iirc) Matthew Sweet put it “looking like your dad on holiday.”

I just don’t think it’s that important. John Wick isn’t muscle bound, and he does alright.
Hence my reference to Monkey Man. Dev kicking seven bells out of all comers.

To be honest, though, as a huge Bond fan, I wonder if it’s time to wrap it up. He’s a character for another age and crow barring him into the modern era may just not work. The Craig ones (muscles and all) were diminishing returns.
Mike Myers absolutely buried Moore and Brosnan smarm, Bourne and Wick (and Nobody, which I love) took over the action reins, people aren’t really wowed by the travelogue stuff as they were 50/60 years ago, and 30(!) years ago M called him a misogynist dinosaur.

So maybe it’s just time to hang up the PPK.

The latest Kong x Godzilla is utter wank puffin. Save it to watch on TV when you're stoned as fuck and have no need of plot at all. Monster fights.

I thought it was alright. I didn't go exprctong much more than big monsters fighting.

Odeon Limitless pass means didn't really 'pay'' for it. If I'd spent £18 on it I'd probably be much more in your camp.

Past Lives, on Netflix. Wonderful, sad, funny, uplifting, many triceratops.

We watched this on your recommendation and really enjoyed it. Thanks

Just watched Dune 2. Better than the first, but I didn't realise there were going to be more of them.

They won't make all of them, but apparently Villeneuve really wants to make the second book into a film, and it is dark.

Monkey Man is Dev Patel's directorial debut and you can tell. Doesn't quite swing but it's not too bad. Brings some Indian chaos and colour into a John Wick scenario. VERY bloody and violent. Done of you will like it a lot.

It's no Bridget Jones, but I enjoyed Scoop on Netflix. Probably a good reason for most of you to avoid it.

I thought it was fine. Which is pretty good considering I watched it just after the final whistle at Tottenham.

Civil War isnt quite what you expect. Dark, worrying and hopefully not prescient.
