Sangare was off the pace last night. His passing is very safe and if he had the gumption he would have released Aina down the right when he edged up unmarked. He wasn't bad but he wasn't great either. He is slow and tidy but in the game last night he paled in comparison to Wharton who is a brilliant one touch pass footballer and Anderson who is all action.
I think if Yates had started he would have got the dirty stuff taken care of. I was all for Sosa coming on yesterday for balance but it was noticeable that they were moving him to different wings and he wasn't getting the ball so you cannot judge him on his lack of possession. I still think there is a player there. They said on the commentary that his English is awful so therefore that is why he wasn't regularly in the side. I can understand that.
Anyway, we were decent in the first half. Average in the second and at the end when we should have been pushing we were flat. I was wondering if Taiwo should have come on to get a yellow card. The Ref was ridiculous in card giving. Sangare could have got two yellows. Subbing him was the right move. I am not a great fan of Ibrahim. He should be big and strong and smart but he hasn't clicked yet. I know he seems time so maybe next season if we don't sell him this summer.
Anyway, decent point. Palarse were the better side and we seem knackered.
I like Foden but he has been well off it of late. Henderson shouldn't be there but Anderson and MGW probably should be. Especially when it is going to get the latter a trip to Citeh who even though facing charges for financially doping somehow find a solution by spending their way out of trouble.
