We need to look for a mad scientist type who can use DNA therapy techniques to turn Lucca into something approximating a footballer.

Stick Chris Wood’s brain into Lucca’s skull.

Lucca really was fucking terrible again last night. He barely moves.

This is the sort of thinking we need.

Got back to the car to hear Steve Hodge seemingly half suggesting that another managerial change by the end of the season may not be a bad thing.

If we don't win at least one of spurs or Fulham, I think it's a safe bet that Marinakis will be rifling through the rolodex to see if there's anyone who'll take the job and might do better.

Surely even Marinakis will realise it’s curtains
We don’t have a striker and are going to rely on wonder goals. Makes for a good highlights reel, I suppose.

Don't think he'll give up until it's mathematically certain. He's that kind of lunatic.

He'd have one lever left to pull (again), so he'd pull it.

Word on the street is all our strikers are off round to Loaf's mum's house this morning to learn how to score.

Our strikers get pulled off regularly as it is.

One of the podcasts was confirming that the decision to replace Kali with Lucca was entirely Dyche's.

Did Sean say that? Or is that coming from those renowned, totally impartial "sources at the club"?

If it's any consolation, we've got much better at fannying around the back and half way line, so the possession stats are probably much better.

I imagine all of the players that we recruited are Shaun's fault, including those that came before he was here. It's also his fault that they chunk every pass, cross, and shot, because he didn't take them to the zoo and buy them ice cream.

What a cunt. Do we know if they've been yet, if not a trip should be organised, can't make things much worse?

The ice cream might give Omari a headache and he won't be able to play to his best.

Hutchinson was our best player last night. Was also watching with a neutral who thought he was stand out. His crossing is into good spaces and tends to be flatter with greater pace. I think it was in the first half, he cut one back in the box and if Wood were playing, he would have nipped in front of the defender for the near post toe poke. But it was Jesus and he went the other side.
We still seem to be slow when breaking. They were rapid getting their defence back and we didn't provide options in the box.

If only we had the wisdom of Dyche so we could give their defenders gentle heading practice. But from what I can gather, he's too busy fellating our Lord and Master into endless glorifying devotion.

I don’t get all the negativity about Hutchinson. He’s still young, bags of potential.
If you could’ve swapped him for Elanga when we were flying in the first half of last season you wouldn’t have noticed much difference offensively. He still has to work on the defensive side of things but under pressure in a struggling side is not an ideal way to do that.

The beauty of football hey, I thought Hutchinson was part of the problem yesterday, I am not sure what his role was (or instructions were) because he seemed to take two touches, one to control the ball, and the second to then almost stop play and then start running again to just kick the ball at the opposition.

Also did anyone else think Aina had another poor game? I know the first half formation pushed him further forward but I thought he looked again, really lazy in the game.

You want? No difference apart from his total lack of pace and his ability to slow down every attack to let the defence get back and settled. He's a kind man in that respect I'll give you that.

Potential, I agree - but how many extra points will we get this season for his potential?
