100% agree. He's a gangster and a raging narcissist, but he's our narcissistic gangster and I love him.

Are there any premier league ownership models to which we do aspire?

Brighton, obvs, please try and keep up.

The perfect Brighton model is funded by a man who made his money from a private betting syndicate, so that wouldn’t be enough for some. He’s also gone for the multiple club model.

I believe that the majority of people in Chicago, apart from the unnecessarily dead ones, felt the same about Al Capone.

    Chic?

It use to Steve Gibson back in the day, didn't it?

I mean, not me personally, but I'm sure I remember a degree of general fawning over the local businessman done well, rescuing unfashionable 'working class' club of the people and taking them them to wemberlee while being reluctant to sack Bryan Robson despite obvious shitness.

    Or something.

Nigel Doughty was a thoroughly good chap, and entirely correctly motivated. Unfortunately his hill to die on was Gary fucking Megson.

Good piece in the Athletic by Danny Taylor, basically saying that Marinakis is not prepared to bend over for any of the Sky Six, and contrasting our actions over MGW with those involving Sheringham, Collymore, Keane, Birtles et al. In the end, we always win, says our overlord. Bring it on, says me.

To be fair to the people running the club in those days, football is a very different world now (and that doesn't make the billionaire class a good thing).

Al Capone was the best. As long as you didn't have to deal with him. Same with Tony Accardo. (His youngest daughter was my client - absolutely smashing lady).

As for EM. He's mental. He's probably a bully. He clearly wants Fawaz levels credit but.............. He Hates the Cartel that is the Premier League and wants to smash it. Only a nut job with high levels of Narcissism could probably do that. I am all in!!!!

In other words...I get to see Forest play on the Telly every week and the football is good. I do like that we are standing up to the nonsense that is in the Premier league. We don't do it the right way, but hey it's a cultural thing init. It ain't boring.

I cannot imagine what would happen if we are sold to an American Venture Capitalist firm or God Forbid John Textor....

Chicago: In it to win it.

That almost reads like a Facebook argument between Donna and Kell having a go at being all highbrow by saying 'whilst' alot. Steve'll be along in a minute with something he thinks is cleverly disguised as being insightful, but which essentially comes down to "awight giwls, fancy a bag o' chips? x <heart emoji>"
