Only started watching the last 20 minutes. Wood’s pace and decision making at pace is seriously impressing me today. Are we finally playing to his strengths? Getting the rub of the green? Are Toon a bit shit? All of the above?

The rather massive Nuke hassle side are so sure that they are superior to us, they are diddling it about on the deck through the middle....playing into the strengths of our centre-backs with movement (...and passing) ...and we are getting behind them repeatedly and far too easily.
What they should be doing is the simples....some scouting, hit crosses to the far post where our full backs are weak....but they seem to want to make things as difficult as possible for themselves instead. Good.
Think I might be tempted to hook Danilo for either Yates or Domínguez. He's been slightly off the pace today - not played much recently and central midfield in the PL is a fairly unforgiving place.
If Elanga was a slightly better decision maker we could have 6.
£1 on Newcastle or the draw done. 4/1
If the barcodes fancy a free kick, all they have to do is fall down. They should have tried that a bit more....although I suppose it would have looked even more embarrassingly obvious.
Yates might be technically limited but he's very effective at what he does. In the opposition's face, breaking up play and drawing fouls. Just what we needed with the game at the stage it was.
Let's forget about Luton, Joe.
Fantastic does anyone other than Tricky think we would have done this with Cooper. Wood could hardly get a shot with his tactics.
Can someone just remind me…? Chris Wood is shit, FACT? Isn’t that the theory?
Could be a season-turning performance, that. Excellent
And to think I nearly didn't get up to watch this. What a terrific performance by multiple players - Wood obviously gets MOTM, but they couldn't figure out how to handle Elanga and Morgan did a fantastic job with the space that that afforded him.
I think the only people who haven't are the fans who insist on blaming him solely for that. Delighted to see him back.
What was different about the tactics Donny?
Special mention to Turner as well.
Fair play, that was excellent.
We didnt get a nosebleed in their half and didnt collapse after going behind. Cooper would have gone for damage limitation.
