Well, she's certainly not submissive.

I just watched the video. If I'm honest I was expecting much worse, some kind of frenzied attack.

Think I just assumed to get the horses to dance the sort of 'encouragment' she was doing in the vid would be normal.

Many years ago it was, in the same way that many years ago a police officer stomping on someone's head whilst they were already on the floor and under control was the norm (so I have been told)
Now a days, in this country anyway, we tend to use much kinder methods that do not involve whipping the horses legs twenty four odd times. In other countries they still do things like that and much much worse, some horrific things that would turn your stomach to see. But we do like to think we are better than that now, and have learnt ways to work with horses rather than make them dance to our tune out of fear.
The fact that there are others that do much worse does not excuse Charlotte at all, and she looks far to comfortable doing it, and being filmed doing it, for me to believe it was a one off like she is trying to say, but I do not think she deserves the witch hunt that the video has ended up causing, I have seen people calling for all her horses and pets to be removed from her care as if it was some horrific level of animal abuse! It was not good, but it was not 'that' bad.
I understand why she instantly withdrew from the Olympics whilst the investigation takes place, but given everyone seems to be okay with a convicted child rapist competing I am not totally sure she made the right move there either (although I understand he has served his time etc)

Hadn't read about the child rapist until now. Funny times we live in.
