Roll on Tuesday and Michael Oliver...
MGW was mugged by O'Reilly. Also Dias really?
We gave them a really good game and I think we were hard done to. Jesus got his decisions in the first half but not the second? What happened exactly?
Anderson gets a soft yellow.
I think Citeh were lucky. Pissflaps that they are. Apparently they can foul as much as they like and hardly get punished.
Unlucky today. Thought we deserved more...
Chicago: Miffed.
Played well and deserved a point. Also deserved a point on Monday.
Worrying trend there?
O'Reilly is the ugliest mfer I have seen in a long time.
Also ask yourself this question. If we had got the winner with the same outcome with the Citeh player being shoved down. Would it have been given?
I bet you it wouldn't...
What the fuck is VAR for if it doesn't see things like that?
Chicago: Justice warrior.
Thought Igor Jesus was terrific today, along with our two centre halves. We didn't deserve to lose that.
It's now turned into something that reviews and almost always confirms the infield decision.
Which means the ref has made the correct decision and the stats look brilliant on how good refs are.
He works hard and holds up play really well, but if I’m being honest, how often does he look like scoring, which is fine if you have players around him who do, MGW, Callum and Hutchinson need to be scoring more regularly if this is going to really work. I haven’t looked but how many times in the league this season have we scored 2 or more?
I thought we played well today but in the second half, goal aside (which was a beautiful move) how many times did we force Donnarumma into a save? I still think we’ll be safe at the end of the season but goal scoring remains a problem.
I remember 3 shots after the equaliser - all from defenders.
Williams from outside the box, Savona blazing the rebound over and Milenkovic stabbing a shot that was deflected wide.
This is where set piece delivery really hurts us. We appear to have swapped launching it well over everyone to daisy cutters into the 1st man.
It also doesn't help that Dyche does not appear to trust the bench at all. 1st sub was 87th minute I think? Another blink and you miss it cameo from the hapless Taiwo, whilst I don't think Kalimuendo has featured at all since starting - and scoring v Utrecht (unless I blinked and missed a cameo).
(Having checked Kali rather pointlessly came on in the 92nd minute at Fulham).
Five times (Brentford, Manchester United, Leeds, Liverpool and Spurs).
We have scored 18 goals, only more than the 10 scored by Wolves, equal with Everton, with Burnley, West Ham and Sunderland all on 19.
We only scored 1 in 5 games under Ange, which skews the numbers a bit.
Tend to think criticising managers' substitutions is just opinion (I'd have preferred Kalimuendo to Taiwo but i can see why he might not) but, my God, Dyche needs to make changes earlier. It's like he hasn't adapted to a five substitution world at all.
A few games ago it was being said how good Dyches subs were at turning games.
Maybe I'm wrong. Let's see how we feel when he asks 10 of Saturday's team to beat Everton on Tuesday.
I was thinking at the time that he needed to make subs. We were playing really well but were clearly were tiring. I couldn't think who to take off. Thinking back, probably Luiz for Anderson or Dominguez. And maybe Kalimeundo for Gibbs White with Jesus dropping deeper. It's and buts and maybes.
