Had TAA/Cole Palmer/KDB played that ball, the collective jerking off from football pundits would result in a national shortage of Kleenex.

I thought the same in the ground. Hope he's OK.

I thought it was Barry girdles for a minute, but only the collar of his shirt was stupid.

I thought Dominguez as well today. He was outstanding for 60 mins.

What a fucking season this is.

Bit drunk. Just on the train home. Some thoughts.

The Trent Nav after Forest have won a home game is now THE pub of choice. It's almost like a club, with everyone wearing Forest shirts, good music, everyone crazy happy. It's really really good fun. I've been there after Brighton, and today. Both times were great.

I didn't think Dominguez should start today. I think he's been a bit dodgy the last few weeks. But I'll eat it and say he was very good. Well done Nuno.

Enjoyed the display at the start. Was talking to Forza people in the pub. For those unaware there was a streamer for every player reflecting their nationality, the words "VAMOS" spelt out by the Trend End, and a banner along the bottom which read something like "our time has come" thought I couldn't see it properly.

Generally the City fans were pretty chill. Talked to few on the train. They are, kudos to them, realistic that they're still doing crazily well compared to ten years ago. If they don't qualify for the CL they'll live with it. Easy to say when you're owned by a fucking country, but they were pretty gracious overall.

Thought I was going to miss KO but managed to grab a Lime bike from the station to Trent Bridge.

What lovely weather. Had my sunglasses on for the first time this year.

We’re you late because you did the pParkrun?

No, just left the house a bit late tbh. There's normally two trains an hour, but one was "missing" today so was pushing it a bit fine.

Bizarrely the old guy who sits behind us drives down from Manchester and said he left at 7 this morning as he stopped to do a parkrun en route.

Ingo shit it and didn't want to do the thread. I stepped up without fear. A bit like Callum Hudson Odoi. He really is a special player. MGW's pass to him was brilliant too. I thought we played very tight and very well. Almost back to basics. Worked a treat. The Dom was actually way better than I thought he would be. He did really graft. Wood could have had a goal at the end too when we broke.

I wonder if Psychobel has changed his tune about Morgan. He is our engine. Everyone worked their tits off today. Really really happy with the result. Just got to turn it on against the teams below us now.

Europe is close but like our cranky Doctor would say, "until it's mathematically impossible for others to catch us then..." And all that.

    Anyway, still having authenticator issues...

    Chicago: Balls of steel.

MGW improved this season but still needs to bring more goals. Can still go missing so we really do need an alternate but currently I think he's about the best 10 in the Premier League.

Feels like that was a massive result, on the back of the point and clean sheet against Arsenal and getting into the sixth round of the cup. Seems like we have our mojo back. A great day today - everyone on it: fans, players and manager. Bloody loved it.

Just occurred to me - what the hell did CHO get booked for after he'd scored?

  • 8 Mar 2025, 9:15 p.m.

I'm pretty sure he hugged someone in the crowd. Is that a bookable offence? Hildeberto got sent off at Villa once for that.

  • 8 Mar 2025, 9:34 p.m.

It's another high on the list of great games over the last 3 years.

  • 8 Mar 2025, 9:36 p.m.

Having seen it back, he didn't go over the barrier, shouldn't have been booked unless it was too long of a celebration. Which, all things considered, it obviously wasn't
