Could be injured, I guess - but I suspect you are right. When I read a piece just after the window “slammed shut”™ where Sosa said to some S American journo that he’d had offers from S America but wanted to stay at Forest and prove himself, my immediate thought was that it didn’t sound like he was making himself indispensable to the first team (?yet).
I think the reality with both Sosa & Jota Silva is that they were bought with a view to giving options to a team hoping to establish themselves in mid-table… but find themselves trying to add to a team hoping to get into Europe, which is a whole different level. There’s a player in both of them (personally I think Sosa more than JS, marginally), but not enough to really push Elanga & CHO.
No disgrace; they haven’t been “rubbish signings”, or anything like it. For now at least it’s just that Forest have progressed further and quicker than anyone saw coming.
I can see us trying to replace them both in the Summer. [Or, of course, the club might still hope that they can offer more as they really adapt to English football in future seasons. Only Nuno & his minions will know.]
[Quite pleased to see Marmoush on the bench, even if it does mean Foden starts]
Quite clear our plan is to attack with density of numbers down our left side, to free wood and our right side for one on ones. We are going that way whenever we can.
Well bugger me. Thought that was going to be an Arsenal rinse and repeat - keep them at arms length but fail to create or force a mistake - but we found a break.
I was just about to berate CHO for not squaring it when I realised it had gone in...
Shooting mid height near post was exactly the wrong thing to do there.....apart from it ending up being an excellent goal. What a crossfield ball from MGW.
