Just watched a replay of the goal and had completely forgotten what transpired in the seconds before. It really makes fascinating watching as it seems the Milenkovic short pass and the Sangare slip gives City a false sense of confidence so Aina’s almost-last-ditch tackle sets them up for the sucker punch from MGW and CHO.

That pass though, innit? Great stride adjustment from CHO to take the pass, to boot (literally).

[Edit] When MGW controls it and sets up the cross-field ball there are four City players within a few yards, not really marking anyone and just watching him. And Haaland strolling back onside. Ha. Nobbers.

I note that MatchPass spends just a bit TOO long on coverage of the pitch being watered. Perhaps unintentional, but top trolling if not.

The Athletic has an interesting article breaking down how Forest set up to neutralize the City defence. Well, interesting if you like that kind of thing.

That could very easily have become a defining moment (for some) in his Forest career. He got away with it.

I’m charitable to a fault, so I thought it didn’t help that the player he was passing to didn’t move to the ball when it went a bit short.

Yeah - I listened to it too - seemed fine - no more forgetful than me - but to be fair I might be losing it too.

Having listened to the Forest Focus interview, I withdraw my previous comment.

Watching the Man City clip again, I'd guess he couldn't hear her - look at the bit when she asks him about putting his whole squad up for sale at about 1.30 - he leans in twice and then just answers the bit he heard at the end.

I got ten minutes in then fell asleep. I wouldn't be bothering to go back to it.

Also gave up on it. It's a difficult listen.
