I would have liked to have seen the offside again where he was pulled down just before the equaliser.

Agreed. Didn't look offside. Would have been a red card and a penalty.

Wasn't offside.....but I'll take the odd bad decision over the complete anti-football clusterfuck of VAR.

Incredible to think we put CHO and MGW on for a training exercise and they lost 3-0 to the cones.

This was the problem. Ange treated it as a training game. Thus completely destroying what the 2nd team had built in the first half. By taking off Morato and Jesus at half time he basically said to the team we've won this. It weakened the defence who were just getting used to playing with each other, it weakened the attack taking off a player who had scored two first half goals and was probably looking forward to getting a hat trick so pissing him off and also setting Kalimuendo up to fail trying to live up to Jesus, so reducing his confidence, and pissing him off as well. Then he further weakened the team by taking off our best player on the night, Douglas Luiz and bringing an attacking midfielder, Morgan, on to replace him. Overall I would rate this as about the worst managerial performance since maybe Alex Mcleish or maybe even Gary Megson. And this in a game that was there for him to step into the role after the thankless task against Arsenal. On the wider note it really wasn't wise to bring in a new maanger after the season has started who wants to implement a whole new system of playing. I think we will easily match Spurs performance last season without the bonus of winning the Euroipa League.

Post match he says the players were too casual and felt game was won second half. As you say, wonder why that was. Guy is a clown.

Interesting to see the comments above re Luiz. He looked shite on my telly, and I completely understood why Nuno didn't use him. To be fair he wasn't helped by Yatesy this evening.

Regarding Ange, if we'd appointed some random Jonny Foreigner that we'd never heard of, we'd have blamed finishing this evening. The problem is, we've seen Ange before.

Bakwa looked good. Jesus looks an asset. Aina is a miss. Zinc looks ok in possession but looks like a 40 year old out of it.

Saturday is massive for our season.

Home, thanks to @JRs_Cigarette for letting me know tickets were still available. Really enjoyed it.

Highlight: 2-0 up and we're singing "I'm going to Seville, I'm going to Seville, Swansea's a shithole, I'm going to Seville." That has aged well.

2-0 at half time was more than we deserved. But to not close it out against what was a very ordinary Championship team was diabolical.

Yates was horrendous, and to take off Douglas Luiz to leave him exposed was just plain stupid. That keeper had best never put on a Forest shirt again. This season could be a car crash.

Luiz looked very good and composed and could really pass the ball. He was also busy.

Ange does seem a bit shit doesn't he.

I don't really understand taking Jesus off early. Also this was a perfect game for Taiwo. I know, I Know. Kalibueno also has the touch of a Taiwo without the power.

Anyway, Boly is shot. He was responsible for all three goals. Beaten each time. Abbott would have been better but hey ho.

I watched this on delay as i am busy but knew something was up with all the posts and the whatsapp messages. Yikes. This is going to be bad isn't it?

    Can we get Nuno back?

Also nice match thread Ingo you numpty!

The 15 minutes I saw after half time, we looked excellent. Luiz was absolute class, along with Bakwa. Hutchinson and McAtee were adventurous and tried stuff. Kalimuendo sharp. Zinchenko seemed strong.
When I left for the school run, I had zero concerns about how the game would turn out.

There seem to be an awful lot of over reactions and condemnation of a manager who so far has had 2 training sessions and 8/9 days at club, I’m more in the wait and see mode but I guess you all know far more than everyone else.

Remind me of Nuno’s record over the last 10 games…..

    tough crowd

One thing is for certain, I'd like for us to stop signing keepers from Brazil. Both of them have been useless.
