You may not be aware. It's a cartoon. On a bed sheet. That's a stretch for 'media'.
The only reason it's getting so much coverage is because the actual media lacks the balls to say what it thinks, even when it's not keeping quiet through conspiracy.
When they've finished pouring resource into this important life and death matter, I'd like to remind them to one day get around to looking at refereeing, the nature of club ownership, the trashing of the fa cup, the ring fencing of established status in the premier league, a competition itself destroying sporting integrity of the pyramid, and the complete failure of them - the de facto regulator to uniformly enforce the rules on clubs.
But yeah, don't do those things, get probing a bedsheet in south London with all the relish of a horny cockney teenager instead.
Fucking merkin of a smokescreen of a compromised pathetic failing organisation.
Not seen any of the game, but it looks like we had decent possession and created some good chances, which looks really encouraging for a changing style away from home after a tumultuous week?
Yep. I'd say Palace shaded the first half and we were better in the second.
Biggest take-away for me was the difference in quality off the bench, which was really exciting. There's no longer that painfully-visible drop when Hudson-Odoi and Ndoye are withdrawn. Today, we could draw on three new signings costing almost £100m, plus Yatesy doing well when he came on. Luiz was an unused substitute.
I thought we looked a really solid side - comfortable at the level but with definite room for improvement. Good place to be, I think.
He put three of the brand new signings on. I wouldn’t read anything into the fourth not getting a run. The game was finely balanced, we were trying to win it, and playing well enough that we could have done.
Not sure there’s any reason to think that the Luiz signing, in particular, is a significant factor in the ruckus.
Anyhoo… like others have said.. the big takeaway from that game was the fact that the substitutions didn’t lead to us dropping our level. Palace scoring did, though.. we were good up to that point but seemed slow and scared afterwards up until half time. A point away at an established PL team is always a good result though
