I’m guessing it was become the PL lost a current player.

If he'd been sold a few weeks earlier we'd presumably not have bothered with it? Or would we? What's the time limit for a player being transferred but still getting a minute silence from his old league? I'm being silly of course.

But also a sign of the general breakdown in society that people think it’s ok to shout about Terry Hennessy, be generally disruptive and cap it off with a shout of ‘cockney wankers’ to a fairly bemused looking Brentford end.

Knew I shouldn't have given @Loafer my ticket today

Feels like there's an element of trying to persuade yourself there...Elanga's strength and speed would get him in a lot, where others wouldn't get there...as we so recently saw. Ndoye showed some decent promise, good movement, excellent goal...but generally I'd like to see him develop a bit more strength, if more speed isn't an option. He needs a bit more of something (speed, strength, maybe confidence) to take his man on and be able to hold him off when he angles the run across the face of the defender. He was promising..but take away the goal and it would have been a frustrating performance that died on it's arse after 70 minutes and let his full back run free.

Yes. I actually commented in typical amazing timing fashion that I was a bit disappointed with his contribution to the game at far - before he scored a minute later. He was fine ... But everyone else was playing out their skin and he looked a tad below.

Very correct that Elanga doesn't ever score that header though. Very good.

The more I watch the 3rd goal, the better I realise Anderson's pass was.

Wonderful pass, but an equally wonderful run by Wood - he spots the gap so early.

Yes I'm looking forward to the first international break to see if Tuchel once again gives a place to Brentfords bench warmer in preference to the Geordie Maradona.

Like most, before he came here, I had Wood as a decent striker and targetman. Now, in terms of awareness, finding space and anticipating where he needs to be and where the ball will be, I think he's one of the best I've seen.

It was. When you saw the replay from the camera angle above the goal, Wood's on the move the second he realises the Brentford pass is short.

But Anderson's execution of the ball, while being challenged, is something else. It was a brilliant goal, although I still preferred Ndoye's - just for the Morgan assist and the diving header.

Thankfully Forest weren't as frustrated by Brentford as we were the M5. Four hours to get from Taunton past Bristol thanks to emergency structural repairs to the Avonmouth bridge. Set off at 2.30. Got home to Bozza at 22.45 via dropping Mum in Lestah.
About to watch MOTD with a beer. Might enjoy it. Until in my capacity as manager of Speccy Leccy I give a fantasy fuck you to the ref for busting Forest's clean sheet.

If it makes you feel better, the error wasn't in giving the penalty against Sangare, it was not giving the one against Milambo. So he didn't fuck us out of a clean sheet.

Obviously as a manager I refuse to take any responsibility and am contractually obliged to blame referees. But thanks for trying. The beer is also helping.

And what the fuck was that MOTD? The shit Man U Vs Arse game analysed to fuck and it's on first whereas England's impending No6 hardly gets a mention.

Are they trying to force him to move to Tottenham?

Especially when they put out something the other day about how running order early in the season was almost exclusively chosen by number of goals.
Only later in the season when games may have big impacts at the top or bottom would lower scoring games be shown earlier.
