Taiwo is great, and it would be sad if he left, but he's the personification of Bambi on ice with his first touch. His best attributes lay elsewhere.

A Newcastle-supporting mate of mine said there was a rumour that Anderson had a clause in his contract that he could go back to Toon.
Almost certainly not true, but it caused a momentary doubt.
Nah. They fucked it.
Besides unless they get champions league they are almost certainly going to lose Isak.
Chicago: Always hopeful.
If we do shift Big 'T', anyone any ideas of someone available at an affordable price, who could do at least as good a job*? My instinct is still to give him some love, and try to get more out of him. He's established here now, has the requisite athletic presence to be a threat, and striker is a notoriously difficult position to recruit for. He's also had a run** of injuries and we know he needs games to find his rhythm. Mentally I can't make the value add up in my head. Hoping someone has a credible suggestion to point me in the right direction.
* Accepting that we are not seeing anything competent, never mind stellar, at this point.
** Alanis.
That's why I specified someone we genuinely rate ("we" here is probably Syrianos). Last summer, I hadn't heard of Gimenez or Marmoush but had heard of Nketiah (but wasn't convinced he was right for us as he's never going to be able to hold the ball up). Gimenez got injured but Marmoush has done ok for himself.
Not sure about a replacement, but if we could find one I’d try to get Big T shipped out on loan to the championship for the rest of the season and see if that improved matters. Like you say, established, needs a run of games etc etc.
Barry Girdles was talking a lot of nonsense on the latest Forest Focus pod earlier today, but this was one point he made that I agreed with.
...also counts as a home grown player.
I was only half paying attention but I only caught one mention of Clough (while slagging off the zonal marking from corners that’s been working brilliantly all season) and no talk of his spell as a centre half.
Agreed. Personally I like a good safely margin. I wouldn't allow so many bloody foreigners. Still, enough about the ownership model in the 'ship.
Am I the only person thing where has Sideshow Bob buried the treasure? Or was it Cecil? Either way, I'm not going to attempt to spell their surname.
I’m sad for Awonyi, but feel like we’ve seen all there is to see (the good and the bad) and if there is value to be realised then the case to sell is compelling. Yes, we need to replace him and doing so comes with risk.. but so does sticking with a player who is not fit-for-purpose as our only backup to Wood.
Signing competition for the spot and keeping Awonyi is probably a luxury that we cannot afford… assuming we hope to go into next season without cashing out on one of our top players. So if the spreadsheets add up, it’s head over heart for me. There is a player there, but probably not often enough.
We're definitely cashing out on one of our top players. I expect it's one of the centre-halves, because their value is so high, their cost is so relatively low, and we appear to have an excellent replacement in Morato. I also think that both wingers will provide ridiculously good ROI; I'd rather sell CHO but I suspect Elanga will be the one.
We should probably prepare ourselves emotionally for this.

Guru might want to prepare a grief coefficient, based on tenure, talent, replaceability (within squad), replaceability (purchase), handsomeness, charm, popularity etc.
I don't think I could choose.
I made sure I went on Tuesday night as I'd told myself this may be as good as it ever gets. They * will find a way to punch us back down to our place.
*Most likely the Russians.
