You forgot dominance. Frank is always claiming dominance.

My guess is that the Wissa thing will depend on how much the player wants to move. If he does, it’s just a commercial negotiation between the two clubs to see if they can reach a deal. If he’s happy to stay, Forest are wasting their time.

The fact that we’ve tried (albeit somewhat half-heartedly in the Summer) in two windows suggests that the player’s agent didn’t exactly laugh at us when we asked.

Would be my read also. If clubs are in some kind of dialogue over a potential fee, it means the player is at least open to the move.

If it’s wissa we are bidding on then the big name from the continent has better options. Boo!!!

    Chicago: feeling deflated.

I'd be very pleased with Wissa, I don't know at what price, but £30m doesn't sound stupid

It doesn't. But this is Brentford - they don't have any PSR issues - I think they'll want £50m. At which point I'm not so sure.

It’s Brentford, they trade logically. If we hit a price where they believe they can replace him with a younger/cheaper/better option, they’ll do it. His price will drop in every subsequent window from here.

Edit: and they aren’t going down or getting into Europe, so a risk free time to cash in.

    New Murillo contract confirmed.

He's 28 and this is his first season scoring consistently. Our valuation may not meet theirs as a result, but I don't think he's a 50M player.

I think he's probably more Elanga cover/replacement than Wood.

Out of curiosity, what do we think prime Stanley Victor (the 93/94 and 94/95 version) would be worth in today's money?

    oodles. Probably Harry Kane money..,.

Chicago: Missing the days of the Forest Star Striker (Sorry Chris.....)

The £8.5m we got in 95 was a British record at the time. Now - quick, strong, young (24 at the time?), could play on his own, could beat players with ease? Would be something comfortably over £100m.

I can't think of a single weakness in his game at that time - he had absolutely everything. I doubt I'll ever see better in a Forest shirt.

We did this before - I still maintain he was crap in the air. One header against Notts, when he was concussed doesn’t change that.

I was just saying to the youngest that the last time we had a player the calibre of Murillo was when we had SVC.

If you'll excuse the clip and the awful blue shirt he's wearing for a moment, skip forward to 4m:05s. That's a fucking unbelievable header.

Dirty, and not in a good way.
