I know it goes against the grain, but I think Morato has been OK this season. Yeah, he's capable of dropping a bollock, but as a 3rd choice, I'm fine with him.

If 17M was on the table, I'd rather have Abbott on the bench then Morato, for example.

Some suggestion on the Twatter that Mateta now faces surgery and three to four months on the sidelines after failing his medical at AC Milan.
Surely that puts paid to the Strand Larsen move and leaves Palace with the sizeable hole up front for the run-in?

Would be brave to go the rest of the season in that position. Given they can probably sell Wharton, if not Mateta, in the summer, they’d have to take the risk, I’d think.
