Point being that they cover each others respective weaknesses. Although Savona (or ZA), Milenkovic, Murillo does the same job (allowing us to play wing backs to give Williams a week off) at a much higher level, with only Milenkovic was on international duty and in the least running position. It’s not that unfamiliar- Dyche has gone to a three to see out the Graz and Leeds games and Nuno, obviously, did it loads last season.
You would like to think that 35 big ones would buy you a number ten that could do a job at this level. Technically I don't have an issue with him. Physically is a problem a 'ship level...but shouldn't be here. I would absolutely want to see him play....at least to understand the scope of any problems. You always need a bit of beef to keep the foundations strong. At number ten less so. Jesus movement* should help him.
* Not in a mysterious way...just constant intelligent movement working the defence and keeping them otherwise engaged.
I am not entirely sure Jesus will play so let’s hope Kalimuendo has picked up a few things like asking for the ball played to space or foot on the fucking grass. He is too small or physically unable to win a ball in the air. Something I hope the coaching team has been working on.
I agree with the tinfoil one. I am not sure Kali-no-Bueno is The Ginger Prince’s type of number 9 but hopefully I am wrong and he employs him in a way that will make us more dangerous.
Do we ever beat teams from Scandinavia unless it’s in a final of course.
Really looking forward to tonight, to the extent that I've just read the programme online. Not read one for years, but this is a 'bumper edition' or words to that effect, given the opposition. It should be a great occasion when the players from '79 are on the pitch pre match. Hope the game lives up to the hype, at least from a Forest perspective.
