He was SO disappointing. A real down on a night of ups. If I'm being kind he put in the ball for Yates head which led to the Kalimuendo goal, but that's the only positive thing I can recall.

McAtee seems massively low on confidence. Agree about the CHO and Ndoye experiment in the 10 role late on. It made me think MGW will be missing on Sunday.
It was good to see the old boys on the pitch before kick off.
Bit weird for Malmo. They have completed an entirely new season since they qualified, finishing 6th and 26 points behind the leaders. Now they are in their close season having played their last game nearly 3 weeks ago and play next on 11 December, then one on 22 January and another on 29 January. Then their next season starts at the beginning of March. Meanwhile, their manager has already agreed to leave to be a coach at Middlesbrough.
Also wonder if we'll regret sending Anderson on if that booking means he's suspended for a game when we need him
I think that was his first one. Yatesy and MGW are on two, with 3 leading to a suspension in the league stages.

Every single new player has been written off across the forest platforms since the summer, slowly people began to like Ndoye and Jesus. It was only a few games ago that Savona was a waste of money but now he seems fine with everyone.Kali completely written off on limited showings but now looks much better. Hutchinson was quickly written off but now thought of as good.
People forget how damaging the change from Nuno to Ange was, he was a disaster an had such a damaging effect on the squad.
Now we are seeing what a proper management team can do with them so don’t write Mcatee off yet. He’s young and I think much to come from him. I don’t think he’s been fit and the limited minutes he looks to have been trying too hard.
I would absolutely agree with this. We’ve had very few young players who have come in and immediately shown what they can do. Anderson and Murillo are the two most obvious examples and they are generational players (at least in Forest terms). Neco was in and out of the team when he arrived: now he’s part of the cotton wool gang.
I thought McAtee shows flashes and he was involved in two of the goals. He’s better off playing higher up and more centrally when MGW is out but frankly, it’s a difficult position to come in and shine if you are wider. Just ask Phil Foden when he plays for England.
I was happy we picked up McAtee from what I had seen of him at City but he's got a problem that his best position is defintely in MGW's spot and we all hope he doesn't get many games to grow into it there as it would mean MGW was out of the team. If he is to play when MGW is is the team he will have to either play the wide role where he lacks the pace to be really effective or behind MGW where he lacks the physical strength to do a good job. It's a conundrum.
McAtee was no worse than Gibbs White has been in many games this season. It will take him game time to get up to speed and ha hasn't had much.
Was delighted for KinderBueno. He doesn't get the ball how he needs it often enough but had enough quality moments to suggest there is a useful player there. Useful in the box, gets his shots off quickly and plays others in. Thought his goal was nicely predatory. He looked relieved and everyone was chuffed for him.
Sangare is much better to the degree where you don't talk about him so much. The Dyche intensity has been valuable and possibly filled that capability hole. Yates was excellent of course.
I didnt see Murillo as full back but in retrospect it is obvious. Seems a bit daft that he wasn't taken off sooner and Savona brought on to protect him, or Morato moved out left. We were comfortable enough.
Shame Milenkovic didnt score with that header. Would have been an ultra glamour headed goal if he hadn't planted it in the perfect place for the keeper.
Although there was a bit of grumbling with a few of McAtee’s worst bits early on (the terrible first corner, the constant bounce passes back to the defence, some of which were atrociously executed) they seemed to come from a place of really wanting him to succeed (or maybe I’m just projecting). In one of the Percy articles I think I saw the club see him as a replacement if/when Morgan leaves- that sort of succession planning is definitely what we need, it’s just that his price seems toppy for someone who’s in that position.
I’d also say that McAtee/Kalimuendo is a lightweight 10/9 combination- would be interesting to see how he does with Jesus or Wood. Morgan’s not the biggest but he’s much stronger.
Yeah, I blame the Russians.
Oooh those pesky Russians.
Personally my measure isn't binary between happy jolly time or written off.
I haven't written any players off, but I will make a judgement at what they can do, at what level, and what their value might be. It's not the kids fault, but at his current state of development we paid too much for McAtee. For 35 million I'd be looking for a capable player at 'ship level. He's not. Yet.

It was widely reported as 30m.
We have paid the English premium for him, and the price no doubt went up fo him and Hutchinson on the back of the Eng u21 success.
But I still think he could well turn out to be a decent player for us. An there isn’t actually any current rush as he’s not playing ahead of MGW anyway.
A lot said we’d overpaid for Neco when we signed him, ‘top 6 premium’ was mentioned a lot. He’s worth double what we paid for him now.

I don't disagree with this.
Right, off for a lie down in a dark room.
Just remembered Dominguez and CHO playing rock/paper/scissors to decide who got the free kick in the first half. Never seen that before.
