    There seems to be an issue with referring to users whose displayname is formed with "userstring anotheruserstring", which misago interprets as "userstring_anotheruserstring".

    I seem to be unable to reference such users.

    Working on it.

    Seems to be odd behaviour with using the @ symbol to tag people using Chrome desktop also.

    Illegal characters in ldap, so you just can't have them.

    That's sorted.

    Don't entirely understand the issue, but I'm not wedded to the name format if it helps to lose the _ and just be one word.

    Not really. The display name format needs to allow for such normality as "FirstName LastName".... so I'm considering it a forum bug.

    @JimShady no, not a bug.

    When you start typing a shout out, it drops down a list of matches. You can select one of them by clicking on the name (but not on the avatar), or you can use the suggestions of username to inform your writing the name.

    There is no functionality, intended or implied to complete with tab or enter. Markdown is a simple text format with annotation....the editor assist only helps you add the required text, not provide magic buttons that interprets your thoughts.

    You were doing so well.

    I have mixed feelings about the editor as it is....it's handy to assist those who are not familiar with markdown, by providing some 'feature buttons'.

    ...but that can be confusing about what it is....markdown is text, with a small subset of string patterns that cause formatting to happen.

    The editor provides assistance for a subset of those strings and how to format them.

    Ultimately my intention is to extend the supported markdown beyond what the editor supports (for example tables).

    Really the idea of markdown is to allow people to write, as if they were writing to a text file....but with some features that mark headers, or text formatting, as you go.

    The power of it, is the lack of power, and the comfortable writing experience. Try not to get over-button dependent.

    This is a test of some user recognition features. Please ignore.
