Jr has an assessment day for a job next week, various different sections, questions, individual assessments re reacting to situations, practical assessments and more social networking.

The last session is a reflective interview of the day, I've never done one so have no valuable input. We have talked about after each session trying to pick out one or two positives and negatives to remember, but presumably they don't just want you to talk for 5 mins solid.

Is there a good way to structure these, or is it really be prepared to follow where the interviewer leads?

I can't tell you in practice from an interview.

Reflective learning techniques you can look up, I think there are some university sources...and there's also some anecdotal business type interview advice sites.

    Reflective frameworks are things like

    the Gibbs reflective cycleGibbs

    STAR
    Situation - context setting
Task - What you had to do
    Action - What you did
Result - the outcomes, both process and development/learning

    What? So What? Now What?

    What? So What? Now What?

....as I say, I don't have experience from an interview perspective.

Thanks, this is how they work on the actual interview questions, STARR technique the final R is how it relates to their specific proposed role.

This reflective interview appears to be more pick up some things you did well and could do better on the day.

STARR with a double 'R' is normally 'result' and 'reflection'.

    It's all I've got.
