The toilets were bizarre. A massive area but with 12 urinals in it!

And the ground is miles from anything. It's what Toton would have been like if we went there

Nine injuries will punch some holes in any squad.

Looks like a decent setting when you get there, though? Which Toton definitely wouldn’t have been.

The extended highlights made us look not-shit.
The first goal was annoying. N'doye failed to track effectively.
The second goal was annoying. Looked like the ref got in the way but it was really clumsy anyway
The third goal was annoying. Poor under pressure all round and then, imho, a jammy strike

I thought the stadium looked good from the outside but inside it's just another characterless bowl with some seats. And yes it's a long walk from the city centre in the rain. No public transport, which is weird. Agree about the toilets.

Can concur on the urinal situation.

Not sure what you mean. The wall they've built around it made it look like a prison to us.

And the surrounding area was wasteland and abandoned buildings. Maybe the stadium will be the start of regeneration of the area.

It's been a while since we had a Talkback public toilet review thread.

The men's bogs at the Felix bar atop the Pensinula hotel c. 2003 ish remains the gold standard of gentleman's convenience facilities experiences for me.

Not in a George Michael kind of way, you understand.

I agree. I first visited in 1998. Talk about a “loo with a view”

I understand the ladies faced Hong Kong Island, which the soon-to-be Mrs Guru assured me was quite a racy set up.

    That's a beautiful story.

I thought so. And I’m pleased you appreciate it

The Frist goal came because we were very slow out of the blocks. Some sloppy play and a rubbish foul by Savona in the first minute and then a good ball from the resulting free kick. If we'd held out against the inevitable early pressure it could have been a different game. Other than that, the first half was pretty poor all round.

I do like Dyke's substitutions; if something is clearly not working, or he spots a chance to change the game he doesn't hang about. The three subs at half time were exactly what I would have wanted. We did put some pressure on, and there was a passage of play where we could have brought it back to 2-1; one of those passages where we would have definitely scored last season, but left me scratching the last of my hair wondering how we didn't.

Not a good performance from Forest, but I have seen much worse. 3-0 was rather flattering to Everton and we sorely miss Murillo, the last goal being a case in point. The finish threaded the defence perfectly, but I feel that Murillo would somehow have got something in the way of the shot.

MOTD didn’t even review the Tarkowski charge or the “did the ref touch the ball”. If the Tarkowski incident had been on, say, Bruno Fernandes, it would have been the only thing anyone talked about all week.

watching it again. it was definitely a red. He did it out of Anger. Off the ball. Serious foul play. N'Doye was shaken up too.

What a joke VAR is. How they didn't catch that is beyond me. Are they all on Gummies in Stockley Yard or wherever the fuck they are.

The whole game was a massive disappointment. We resorted to lumping it up to jesus who was yelling for the ball to feet. Everton roughed us up and we didn't respond which is very unlike a Dyche team. We looked passive. I think a lump kicking training session is in order. Also if MGW is having a mare. Put McAtee in. Sure, he is slight and slender but he needs a roughing up to get to speed. Let's see what he can do.

I think that was our worst Ginger prince performance by a mile. I hope it is not a worrying trend. Also CHO needs to get back to his aggressive attacking best. Not sure why he kept checking back. Go at them like Hutchinson.

    Anyway pants.

    Chicago: Slightly miffed.

I understand my own bias but to charge someone like that, outside of play and with the player not able to see it coming, has to be a red. And, I understand sticking with the on field decision as much as possible but I think the referee didn't see it, so send him to the screen.

At the very least, if it had been the yellow it clearly deserved as a minimum then Tarkowski wouldn't have been able to take the professional yellow in the second half for stopping Anderson on a breakaway.
