To start with...what a shit Stadium name. Also The Ginger Prince probably has a plan for his revenge game against the ungrateful Blue Scouse. A Moyes/Dyche game of football is. not going to be pretty but it will be gritty. Both are great man managers but whomever has the most stamina wins. Wolves we looked a bit rubbish and lacked life. Apart from Jesus of course. I suspect Dycheball will include a nice smash and grab similiar to what he did to us with those Blue cunts last season. Grealish and the other winger will be a problem. Luckily Murillo should be back and hopefully CHO for N'Doye and I suspect Dom will come in for Sangare. MGW looks a bit buggered but suspect he might be alright for the game. McAtee would get eaten alive I fear. Skilled but buiit like a wet thistle.

Might not be a classic for the purists but for Tricky he will love it, with lots of tactics and a massive thiunderous amount of endeavour. That mad Frenchman/African is suspended so maybe a little easier in midfield. Someone has to stop Jimmy Garner from shooting but other than that let's newcastle the bastards...

Probably a draw 1-1 but I would lose a finger for a win...

Jimmy Hill/David Dickinson Stadium. I hope I can now remember its name.

Woke up this morning to text from daughter saying that she had been throwing up overnight so she and husband no longer able to go to the game. So instead of looking after their baby daughter for 24 hours, Mrs Charlie and I are having their tickets and hotel reservation.

At the station pub in Urmston having a swift half before getting the train. And they have Castle Rock Harvest Pale on cask. It's an omen.

I assume Murillo is bolloxed then?

Also how is N’Doye keeping his place? He hasn’t been wirh it for a while. Needs a reset.

Let’s hope Morato doesn’t have a brain fart today. I suspect he will though. Poor old Cunha Jair.

Possibly because he is doing what Dyche asks him to do?

I have less of an issue with the dumb offside than I do with the fact that his natural instinct as a winger is to beat his man on the outside and either cross or cut inside along the byline, and he looks wholly incapable of doing that with his left foot. That said, he's done enough this season to have earned some leeway with me, but I want a much better performance today.

Don't think it's dumb, per se. The position is taken up to impede the keeper...from that position, back to goal, it's almost impossible to see when the two full backs come off the post. I think we are just seeing the evolutionary pathway of how tactics develop to counteract strategic positioning (interfering with play), all of which could be avoided if the offside law was actually interpretted in such a way as to make the game fair and subject to achievable officiating without making stuff up in a cupboard.

Fair enough, I can accept that it's strategic rather than a mistake on the player's part. I still don't love the tactic though, because it seems like it's going to get good goals that would have happened anyway ruled out (like on Wednesday) at least as often as it's going to to create situations in which a goal is scored that the keeper would otherwise have prevented. I don't think there's a net gain from it.
