Even if he does well enough to stay on next year (still think means well clear of relegation and/or a close europa semi final), he isn't going to be getting involved in recruitment, so that isn't a concern.

Wolves fans seem to have an even lower opinion of Edwards.

    Confirmed now.

No mention of Edu or Syrianos in this announcement and the run-through of his CV ends last summer, for some reason I can't guess.

Bless em. You never get over your favourite teacher leaving. Hopefully they’ll pull through eventually.

Has there ever been such indifference to a managerial appointment?

Don't think it's indifference. Has a whiff of "Hmm, we might have fucked up here" to me.

Both Cooper and Nuno were pretty muted at the time. Ange and Dyche certainly got reactions.
Going back further, Hughton seemed pretty exciting given his history.
But fourth manager in a season, when we've seen no underlying vision or plan is probably the mehest.

Is it a shock to anyone that Pereira’s agent is Jorge Mendes?

True of most Portuguese managers and players, isn’t it? Presumably mean Edu and joorabchian are on the outs for the time being?

From recent experience being a Mendes club beats being a Joorabchian club

    BBC…

Nottingham Forest defender Murillo is set to leave the club this summer with Chelsea showing firm interest and Liverpool also considering making a move for the 23-year-old Brazilian. (Teamtalk),

Manchester City have been told they will have to pay £60-70m to prise England midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, 26, away from Nottingham Forest in the summer. (Football Insider)

Well given the fall out between Edu and Nuno was said partly down to Kia’s new influence, then yes it’s a bit of a ‘shock’.

Wherever we land, and noting that transfer gossip is made up, it’s hard to imagine any of Murillo, Anderson or MGW being Forest players next season. Fortunately we have Edu to spend the £250m astutely.

Two of them are replaceable (at some level of quality) but Murillo is a goddamn unicorn and we will never see his like again.

If we do stay up, recruitment and retention is going to be difficult in the summer (which includes, potentially, a new manager). How do you persuade ambitious players and managers to join (stay at) the club that's just burned through four managers in a season? Even if you take the view that all those appointments made sense at the time and all the sackings were necessary, it still indicates a club that doesn't know what the fuck it's doing and can't stick anything through.

People are still talking about Silva in the summer. Obviously we're a bigger club than Fulham and probably would pay him a bit more but he's been there for five years, it would make no sense for him to join a club where he'll be out on his ear if he has five bad games.

Ironically, in the championship, the reputational thing is probably less of a problem as cash will override it. Although the need to replace virtually the entire first team squad will be a challenge.

Some would say Morato is too, though a different kind of unicorn.

I was thinking who we’d still have here and I imagine we’d be able to shift most of them on, even the likes of Bakwa we’d probably get a decent fee for.
