I was at the 9-man Coventry game. Only the second time I'd been to Cov, with the first being the day we clinched the title at Highfield Road (the day of Shilton's ridiculous save, which was right in front of me).
Being an old fart, I have never seen the Stone Roses - but I did spend a lot of time at the Hope & Anchor in Islington in the late-70s (when it was something of a magnet for up-&-coming bands - it holds about 50 people), and saw Dire Straits, Prefab Sprout, Buzzcocks, The Stranglers & XTC there (along with far more bands who were deeply shit / inept in that way that we all briefly thought was fun in the punk era; I now find almost all punk albums pretty much unlistenable).
IIRC the deal was agreed, Textor left and Lyon tried to pull the plug but deal had gone too far, hence loaning him out. Fee seems fine for an FA Cup winning international.
As well as mis-spelling Cuiabano's name, and saying that Mangala is currently on loan at Everton. I think there's a reasonable idea for an article there, but I really don't think they made it.
Ola can’t play for us until January anyway, so he’ll miss a maximum of three league games and the third round of the FA cup. Can’t play against Braga, so should be available for Brentford away on the 25th.
If I trusted the medical care he’ll get, I could view it as effectively a pre season.
Sangare will be the primary impact given he is a regular starter under Dyche, but I'm very happy with the cover we have for him. Apart from him, Aina and Taiwo, do we lose anyone else?
