It is strange. His outburst last week was unprovoked and there's such a simple straight-bat answer to the question from the Sky Sports reporter today (if you want to make it).

If this really is about not getting new signings through the door early enough, he’d do well to raise his head and take a look at some of his peers. Namely Glasner, Silva and Frank whose squads look in a much worse place due to transfer inactivity.
Of course every manager wants his new players in the day after the season ends, but there’s plenty of evidence that that’s not realistic.
Of course, it’s just as likely that he’s fed up working for an egomaniac and is desperate to force them into a juicy payoff.
