He's very good at staying on message, so I assume he'll say similar in the pre-match press conference and, probably, on sky. But it won't get much prominence because it's not as interesting as hyping up the emnity.

The real irony here is that Sky Sports will have a ringside view in the event of anything kicking off or, worse, a supporter on either side getting hurt.

No fucks will be given whatsoever that their deliberately provocative reporting will have been a major cause of it. Along with Steve Parish's deflective bullshit going completely unchallenged.

Both clubs ought to be collectively calling for calm ahead of Sunday but it seems to have gone past that point unfortunately. All Forest can do, as displayed perfectly by Nuno here, is to act with some dignity and class. The fans in the ground, of course, less likely to.

I think you're overstating things a little here. Lots of games every season have a little more edge for all sorts of reasons. They rarely result in anything significant happening despite the media amps best efforts.

  • 22 Aug 2025, 9:35 a.m.

Granted it's all good fun until somebody gets hurt, but until they do it's all good fun. Who doesn't love a angry Cockney having a meltdown?

There's a lot of froth about.

    Not an accident.

As I said before, we live in an age where it’s in the best interests of the meeja to stoke thinks up. Sports, politics, showbiz…anything really.

Then act outraged when someone flips or something awful happens.

I thought Pete Blackburn was good on FF yesterday, Parish should come out and say something. He’s been the architect of this narrative, eagerly fellated by journalists who think loveable swarve London bloke is better than the dodgy, mouthy, fat, Greek

  • 22 Aug 2025, 10:45 a.m.

Hopefully so. But the point was more that Sky have deliberately helped to create a false narrative here for clicks and engagement. I'd imagine that secretly they'd love it to kick off on Sunday.

Amusing that in among all the pant-wetting, nobody felt able to say (or didn't want to say): "Understand your view, Mr Parish, but what about the suggestion that your club made a serious administrative error?"

That was the substance of the email I sent to the Guardian. Not had a reply.

On the basis of a single Italian journo with a reputation for spouting crap saying on Yer Socials that Forest are thinking of sacking him… so a bunch of Herberts rush to the bookies & try to make some “ITK” cash, thus affecting the odds.

    My breath is not held.

I was talking about sports day. Maranakis won the egg and spoon race, he ate both.

I've heard Nuno is favourite for the high jump. And the long jump.

    From John Percy...

Very worrying comments from Nuno Espírito Santo at #nffc today. Said he and owner Evangelos Marinakis are “not as close” and the “relationship has changed”. EDIT: no idea why that has appeared twice

I see former Olympiacos manager Marco Silva has made it pretty clear he's not very happy at Fulham.

  • 22 Aug 2025, 2:21 p.m.

More from Nuno on Marinakis: "What I said, I said it with respect. The reality is that the relationship is not what is use to be. It was a respectful relationship based on trust and sharing opinions but now it is not so good."

Modern football: It doesn't pay to get attached to anything about it. Except the laundry....but not the fucking laundry with stupid fucking pinstripes on it.
