I hope that if we score the team all point to the Europa League sleeve badge.

Uh, what?
Forest sent their legal team because Palace specifically named them in the appeal to CAS. It was hardly some Machiavellian manoeuvre.
Now the public service broadcaster has been fatally holed below the water, it gives free reign to everyone to lie to you about everything.
Without any avenue for balance.
Click bait froth, and divisive propaganda, is the dish du jour. Forever.
I've just emailed the Guardian to complain about the lack of challenge to Parish's narrative.
If there are any incidents at the game I hope that Parish is held to account for his comments.
Too late as the narrative has successfully been woven and peddled by friendly media. If there's any trouble now it will be Forest or Marinakis's fault.
Sky will be creaming their pants in the run-up to this one. A ridiculous faux rivalry stoked mostly by one particular journalist at Sky Sports. Embarrassing really but lapped up by too many to stop it happening.
They haven't liked us since the EPIC Platt celebration 2-3 Barry Roche re-taken penno save game anyway*.
*in my head. Since about 10 seconds ago.

An allegory for our times. Not just football but life in general.
The club would be wise to issue a diplomatic statement (ie something that has none of Maranakis’ fingerprints) to defuse a situation.

The Holmesdale Halfwits fancy themselves as some sort of European ultra firm so can’t really see anything calming them down.
I’m surprised the authorities haven’t clamped down on them and their flares which are prevalent at games.

Something along the lines of "look, I really did have (some) sympathy for your plight at the start of all this. The rules are a bit shit. But they are rules.
Quite honestly, you've gone from being a bit whiny to really quite cunty just recently.
Stop being a bunch of fucking dicks and read your fucking memos next time."
That ought to to do it.
Mince writes the pretend statments round here, stay in your lane.

Yeah but Mince is to pretend statements as Greenfrog's legal people are to T&Cs
Well done Sean. Babelfishing imaginary statement wars is bang on brand for TalkBack.
Vaguely tried to write a statement, but there's not much to write really other than the Crystal Palace fans are being arseholes and need to take a long hard look at themselves.
Statement on behalf of Nottingham Forest:
The club has recently been made aware by the London Metropolitan Police of a planned demonstration by Crystal Palace supporters against UEFA and CAS for their decision to remove Crystal Palace FC from the Europa League in the 2025/2026 season.
In a democratic and fair society we fully support the peaceful right to protest, however we are disturbed to hear that some elements of the protest seem intent to target the Nottingham Forest team coach and our owner Mr Marinakis.
Nottingham Forest hope that the match can be played in the true sporting spirit of football and that relations between our two great clubs can continue to be as productive and cordial as they always have been. We would be happy to join Crystal Palace FC in meetings with UEFA to discuss ways in which the current rules and regulations could be reformed: they are clearly not fit for purpose.
Good statement, Mince. You should post that in your Whatsapp group. They’ll love that.
I still like the one I did better.
