I know we’re all (apart from shady) being super chill about the lack of signings but, unless they are hiding some players in the videos, there doesn’t seem to be many out in Portugal - no sign of Stamenic, Ricards, obviously O’Brien or Dennis, even Miguel and Moreira. It looks like there’s only 15 or 16 in total.

Still looks a small group, even allowing for “Nuno likes a small squad”. They must have promised incomings to the extent he isn’t wasting time on some of the fringe players.

Is this Nuno likes a small squad thing just a myth or is it on record? As it was also said he didn’t like MGW or young players when he came here, and they don’t appear to be true.

I'd love to know what or how exactly we are flogging players for overpriced sums to Textor. It's just bizarre. Every metric says Turner is not a £8m keeper. Why's he paying that? It certainly doesn't feel football related.

I think he does, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it's in part positioning to mitigate against price inflation: ie we only need players at the right price, not an inverse fire sale.

Actually the real surprise is that some Palace fan hasn’t come up with a complicated conspiracy theory involving Turner being loaned to them in an attempt to sabotage their otherwise inevitable march on European competition. They’re doing it with Omobamidele’s o.g. for Strasbourg; all a dastardly plot to make sure Lyon qualified for Europe, apparently.

I've been on a message board for them and it's a wild read. The sending off conspiracy, the UEFA corruption conspiracy, the buying players from Botofago at inflated fees (to help Textor put money in Lyon - conveniently avoiding the fact that we have sold to Lyon and seen to have got cheap prices for the two from Botofago) and on and on all caused by Forest.

The Omobamidele one is the clearest sign of someone infected by brainrot. Did we plan ahead in January to send him to a team that we someone knew would be head-to-head with Lyon for the last place or was it just opportunism? Was Rosenier in on it when he brought him on? Why on earth have Strasbourg signed him permanently? Was that part of the deal?
