Apparently, David James said this on Five Live at lunchtime...
"I have concerns over how much Forest have spent to get where they are, compared to teams like Newcastle..."
He was immediately corrected by the presenter but it's pretty poor that ex-pros can go on national radio and effectively just make stuff up because they're too lazy to research it.
Over the last 12 months his conditioning and strength has improved. Like quite a few of the others. The concerns I had about him have diminished. He has definitely demonstrated a fitness for the level.
Dominguez seems to be quite disliked by portions of our base, but he's one of my favourite players. He's tidy and hardworking and equally effective at both ends of the pitch. Our best run of the season came with him and Anderson as the double pivot.
I don't know what happens when Morgan goes, but I can see Anderson playing that more advanced role with Nico and Sangare in the number 6 roles.
I'm pretty convinced that he was bought with this in mind. Likely thinking he'd be coming on from the bench regularly this season. But he's forced his way into the team in an unexpected position.
I agreed but, after this season, if Morgan goes, I think we'll play more of a 433. Villa and Chelsea are the only teams above us who usually play with a 10 (admittedly small sample size) and that's because Rogers and Palmer are exceptional. There's a reason why we often get outnumbered and bullied in midfield.
Anderson has looked better as an 8 - I'm not sure he's got the pace to play as a 10.
