My guess is that we were trying to get him to sign a new contract but he didn't. Or hasn't yet.

I can't be arsed to find which was the cup final memory thread but Hunsbook tells me that it was 36 years ago today that Forest beat Everton 4-3 in the Full Members / Simon (sic) cup final. Dad and I were there. As we were walking away from the stadium we heard 1 Everton fan saying to his mate 'Lee Chapman, no pace, no control, bang bang, 2 goals'.
