It was the first round of the end-of-season PL2 play-offs (top 16 from the 26-team PL2 table qualified).
Forest finished 15th, were away at second-placed Fulham.They're in the final of the PL International Cup (home to Lyon (who beat Fulham in their semi-final)).
Went out at the group stage of both the EFL Trophy and National League Cup, and lost in the quarter-finals of the Notts Saturday Senior Cup. I think that was it for cup action! -
Apparently their nearest competitors, Wolves, wouldn't have taken the promotion anyway but I doubt it would have passed down to Forest in that circumstance.

Apparently you have to apply to be promoted, even if you win the league, from what I read Wolves never submitted the paperwork for their women’s team, and never told the players, who only found out on Sunday.. Fawaz would be proud of them.
