Tickets as of 3pm on 9 April ... About 70% of the upper tier I'd say.

Guessing that if we do get to the final, the equivalent of window 3 or 4 will be the sell-out point?

Trying to think of a plan B if our expected driver doesn't get a ticket (he's fighting Ingo for one on Friday). The trains look horrendous. Don't want a drive for booze reasons. Not sure how excited the wife will be when I say I'm off to London for two nights

I'll fight him to the death.

If I was going to be getting a train from Nottm, I would try to arrange to actually go from somewhere like Grantham instead. Different line and will be much easier I expect, even if you have to get a taxi from Grantham back to Notts at midnight.

A friend is planning to drive to Stevenage, leave car at hotel, train back to Stevenage after the game, stay over, drive back Sunday morning.

If you don't care about it taking a while you could also look into National Express coach from Golders Green?

I'm getting a train to and from Sheffield. It's the same line that has works on it as Nottm, so I'm expecting it to be bad, but hopefully not quite as overcrowded as the Nottingham train. Have paid for First Class and reserved a seat also.

    In his Delorean, presumably?

We were in Hitchin on the Sunday night after the League Cup final and a few Newcastle fans were obviously staying there after the game.

I'd expect a similar allocation procedure. So similar sales in each window. Are you presuming they'll be fewer tickets due to more corporate seats?

It's not corporate so much as the distribution through the local associations. I think Man City got about 35,000 for last year's semi final and only about 25,000 for the final.

    Oh yes. Monday I mean.

Fuck the bus. No chance. Grantham is not ideal train wise from where we live. But yes, I think a Stevenage / Hitchin style crap town and an overnight on the Sunday could be the way forward.

Watford? Metropolitan line direct to wembley park. You can't get a crapper town than watford (with loads of chain hotels).

Hitchin is considerably less crap than Stevenage, Watford or, indeed, Grantham. If that adds anything.

This is the correct answer. There is no shitter place on earth.

Can't Ingo just drive you if he wins - seems only fair

To be fair, I think I may own a £12 stake in his car
