Watching the slowed down replay, the keeper all but hurls the ball over his shoulder.

The Keeper may have a bigger bank balance after that.... I am just saying....

I see that most reports on this own goal are ex-spurs defender Serge Aurier. Doesn't anyone know that we a premier league club and he plays for us.

    No wonder he is angry.

    Chicago: Serge-ing ahead.

See also Viv Anderson, who is routinely described (e.g. in Sky captions) as “ex-Arsenal & Manchester United defender”… which is true but entirely ignores the only club with which he actually… well… like, actually won stuff

Get with the programme. Don’t you know that nothing meaningful happened in football before 1992? And that it only happened to Manyoo, Citeh, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. Spurs are also included just because you’ve heard of them. With the exception of the greatest miracle ever when Lestah won the premier league. Prior to Messi and Ronaldo, there were no players who were fit to lick their boots.

Is a reasonably interesting interview with Giraldi in the Athletic.

    Yeah, was good.
(Also enjoyed the very long piece about James McClean, even if one of the blokes quoted didn't come across well)

Guess they forgot the NDA in his payoff. Interesting he's claiming credit for Danilo (and blame for Shelvey and Wood).

Brennan and Neco start for Wales tonight. Good to see Neco back.

Athletic saying Brazil and Charnley have left the club. Former obviously more regrettable but the churn of staff remains ridiculous. Anyone betting on Rangers blokes being here in May?

Whilst I'm sure this will be rationalised as progress by many, I'm gutted about the way the club's hierarchy have treated Gary. He has built something really impressive through a time of largely chaos at the club and it continues to perform. He deserves far more respect. Whatever happens next, it is a sad day for the values of the club.

    Has any reason been given?

Has a reason been given for the departures of Murphy/Giraldi/Syrianos/Scott?

  • Sevenpanorama_fish_eye

Not officially, but the general vibes were Murphy was out of his depth and the others got the chop for poor recruitment.

Which was just a short time later hailed as very good recruitment.

    Not to worry.

Did Brazil want to stay, or has he chosen to let his contract run out so he can go do something new?
