Yeah, feels like including Calderwood (who, after all, did get us promoted) and missing Cotterill (who I see was appointed 13 years ago today) and the orange cunt who oversaw the actual premier league relegation is an oversight.
Holy shit….that is frightening. Where did the period go?
On which note, who are the least memorable and most ineffectual managers in that 25 years?Ones that you could forget managed Forest? Not the darkest, not the most painful. Just the most “m’eh”. That “between the Billies” phase 2011-2013 might be the most forgettable.
Of the full-time managers, must be McLeish. But I struggle to remember Karanka, even though he was pretty good in comparison.
McLaren brought the Doughty era to an end, so, brief as he was, he's memorable for that, the coffee cup, Greening, Ishmael Miller and going to France to beg Moussi to come back.
I always forget Sean Disco, Warburton, Karanka and, oddly, I often also forget MoN. I always think it goes, Billiez (1+2), Psycho, Dougie, Montanier, Sabri, Hugton, SSC.
EDIT: I don't actually recall anything at all of the actual tenures of Schteve, McLeish or Cotterill, I'm just vaguely aware they happened early 2010s.
No mention of O'Drizzle yet. I thought he was quite good, I think. Was it him who got sacked after beating Leeds 4-1 in a desperate attempt to shoo-in McCleish as a big name Premier League manager? Or was that Cockerel? Monsieur Montanier was only memorable for being French.
