Why has Wilford Lane never been considered? It's massive, we already own it, and it has pretty much all the benefits of the City Ground.

Handy for the Harvester too.
I don’t imagine the neighbours would be too happy.
If we adopted the approach the Saudis are taking to Neom there shouldn't be any issues.
You wait mate. If middle age spread hasn't caught you yet, it's just a matter of time.
I thought they’d been saying that the academy is on too small a site too so if it’s not large enough for them, it won’t be large enough for a stadium surely?
And access is only via one narrow road too.
It’s a lot further from the city/station in walking terms and road access is poor. One of the best things about the CG is that as well as being walkable for a decent number of people, there are multiple roads serving the area and parking around WB, Lady Bay, the industrial estate etc. Wilford Lane has none of that. It would surely be a traffic hellhole. It beats Toton, but I’m not sure it’s a great option and it looks like we’d need to buy up additional land and, most likely, build a road or three to make it work.
Have we done the Broadmarsh site yet?
Not yet. I think the troll guy will be suggesting it shortly. Followed by some sort of suggestion around Sherwood as it'll keep with the heritage of our badge.
Sure; so what? What's their average crowd, and what did they usually get at Griffin Park? They're competing with several significantly bigger clubs inside 5 miles; we're competing with the Stripy Sven Brigade.
Brentford also probably don't have aspirations (certainly not any time soon) to be consistently pushing for European places. Marinakis does. We might think he is delusional in that, but again it comes down to what we really want.
Actually, it probably doesn't even come to that if we're really honest. The fans disliking owners (Glazers, Moshiri & many more) didn't stop Man Utd from being loaded up with debt or Everton from getting into bed with whichever hatstand Ponzi scheme they reckoned might chuck them a few bob. If Marinakis is determined to do this (& I'm increasingly of the opinion that he might be), then he'll do it; his history with Olimpiakos suggests that he tends to get his way in the end.
We might not like modern football and all it entails (personally, I despise it), but it's not going away. EM owns Forest, and misty-eyed waffle about "community assets" doesn't generally make much of a dent on the titanium carapace of people with that much dosh. We can & should make our opinions known (& I very much doubt he wasn't aware of them even before all this), but if he reckons this is the best course for the club (his club), then we're simply in A4 posters in the car park territory.
Knock down the meadows and build it there.
Everyone’s a winner.
I think my opinions are absolutely swayed by being able to leave my house at 2.35 to walk to the City Ground for a 3 o'clock kick off, and by having a season ticket so having no problem getting in but...
Moving to Toton would completely change match days. From an in-town experience, where you essentially draw upon the existing resources of the city (transport, parking, refreshment etc) to an out-of-town experience, where the facilities are all an integral part of the development. From High Street to retail park. This, for me, is a degraded, sanitised, corporate way to watch football.
I would be less concerned about a new ground if we could move somewhere close to the city, but... where?
So let's stay put.
What about the land north of the city ground on the river where the rugby club is
It's owned by Forest, the rugby club and the cricket club and in the past they've never been able to agree on what to do with it in a way that ticks all their boxes, is my understanding.
So let's stay put.
Fine. No problem.
This is likely to mean more players like Danny Sonner and fewer like Morgan Gibbs White or Murillo. Still, if walking to the ground outweighs these considerations, that's OK.

Does anybody really like cricket? Actually? Lets build it there.
