Seems reasonable. I've had some axe's to grind for a while. Who with their eyes open hasn't?

He’s a Notts fan and like all bitter Notts fans he couldn’t hide it during his early days covering Forest at the NEP. He then seemed to get over it but will rarely be positive. Negative news gets more clicks.

It's rare that he's all-out negative (these days at least - no real recollection of his early days but I don't remember anything out of the ordinary). Unlike Percy he doesn't trot out the party line in exchange for preferential access, which suits me, I like journalists to be independent and even-handed.

Everyone will have some kind of bias, that's unavoidable. But some people think being critical in any way means you have an axe to grind; they seem to be confusing journalists with cheerleaders.

    Interesting and insightful comment
Pricing structure put together by Paul Bell, who joined from Leeds - where he was responsible for charging away fans £47.

Our chairman has deleted his twitter account apparently. He put his name to the price increases so he's got no deniability.

It’s interesting that they don’t appear to have given any indication of how the waiting list will work. So, basically, no one knows what they’ve actually got for their £10. If, say, 10% of season ticket holders don’t renew, do they just open up the ticketing system and create a free for all for the 11,000? Not great if people are on the list with their kids…

I think what the £10 has done is fund Forests marketing campaign to drive renewals. The messaging that the waiting list is so big you have to renew was clearly the intent.

Which if you're on the waiting list you want as few renewals as possible so it s a little perverse.

So essentially you've paid for something that is being used to make sure you don't get the thing you paid for.

I tend to think it’s best our club officials aren’t on twitter anyway.

I remember queuing outside the ticket all night in the late 90s to get a season ticket. Up for that again.

When they opened the Trent End in the 90s, I think I joined the queue somewhere by the TE stand itself at about 7. I was on my own buying for three of us, so felt the responsibility when I got to the Main Stand car park and had to pick which block's queue I wanted to join (figured T3 would be most popular, so went for T2, today I'd assume T2 would be the second most popular and T4 the same, so would have gone for that one). 30 years on, I'm still in that seat and still see one of the other three a few times a year at games.

Now you'd need to sit with as many devices as possible trying to enter a virtual queue at the right moment to not get to the front too soon.

    Progress?

I do recall being in the queue at about 7AM for 199 quid TE ST's forbthe 2000 / 2001 still pissed up having not been to bed. Although to be fair there was quiteca lot of that going on. Not big or clever, kids.

Season ticket holders in D block being told they can’t renew the same seats, due to hospitality areas being extended.
Having already taken a large part of C block last season.

How much is hospitality going rate for Plymouth on a Tuesday night?

There’s the old cartoon of a chairman going into a dressing room and saying something along the lines of “thanks for getting promotion, now we can sign some better players”. Marinakis has combined that with also wanting some better supporters.
