I feel like every club that gets relegated says this. Then they are mostly fine and get promoted again.

My contention is that it's not about win/loss ratios. It's just about how many dopamine hits from wins.

It honestly feels to me like a bunch of spoiled children with very, very short attention spans are on this thread.

Are you really telling me this season is worth swapping for another O'Neill or Hughton or Montanier or Karanka or Freedman-style season?

    I agree with Russ.

The Championship was only good when we were winning. We weren't winning that much over the last 20 years. I don't want to play Preston and Hull and Bristol City and Birmingham again, thanks.

And tell West Brom and Stoke and Swansea and Cardiff and Norwich and Blackburn how easy it is to bounce straight back.

Is it possible to have no appetite for the championship (or below) again, while hating everything that the 'ship stands for and is doing?

I only really enjoyed the running around bits, and those in charge seem to be waging a concerted campaign to ruin those as well.

The dopamine hit from beating Rotherham is not the same as that from beating Man U.

Given which club we support, that "mostly" is doing an interesting amount of work.
Although I would argue that this would actually be a comparatively good season to be relegated (wuith the proviso that there are no good seasons to be relegated). The other two teams going down do not look great, and the teams coming up are really good.

    Stoke City says hi.

  • 26 Feb 2024, 11:52 p.m.

That's kind of my point I think, for me and family it doesn't seem to be that different. Can't fill our tickets for Liverpool on Saturday; can't face the day in it's entirety as it's likely every part of it will be shit (maybe except for the fish and chips pre game I guess).
Not necessarily Forest fault by any means, just worn down by the whole experience.

Similarly, I've actually struggled to find someone for the second Liverpool ticket I bought. Interest has definitely waned.

Flog it to Florist, he just can't get enough of being pumped silly by sovereign wealth funds.

I've treated my dad to it. Which isn't optimal, as his match day experience nowadays involves parking in WB at 2pm and getting a cup of tea on the way to the ground (rather than 5 pints).

  • 27 Feb 2024, 7:42 a.m.

I'm still after a Liverpool ticket... (sold out to second-tier members in two minutes and barely any have come up on resale so far!)

  • 27 Feb 2024, 8 a.m.

I'll let you know if I hear of any.

  • 27 Feb 2024, 8:01 a.m.

    Calm down, son.

  • 27 Feb 2024, 10:34 a.m.

Hearing the phrase "just can't get enough" is enough to get me going

  • 27 Feb 2024, 11:15 a.m.

There were 2000 empty seats on matchdays last season from ST holders not turning up. Not at all sure interest has waned given the the speed tickets sell when on sale to members.
