It does seem the way under Marinakis that once you don't fit you have to clear out. Didn't Worrall sign a new contract recently, partly I thought to retain some sale value? This must devalue him.

Does speak volumes that we've had 5(?) starting captains in 15 games - Worrall, Yates, Aurier, Felipe and Gibbs-White.

There has been some story that after he was dropped from the squad that he had a massive strop and didn’t turn up to something. If so, freezing out is fairly standard procedure.
Of course, perfect Steve can do no wrong, so it must be Marinakis’ fault.
