Was that the guy they hired to fix the injury problems from last season?
Dunno. Some fella called Arnaldo Abrantes. Apparently gone to Villa.

Left, or did Guru kidnap him?
Our club doctor is moving to Aston Villa.
Actually, he's Head of Performance and Medical. Is that the same thing?
Four months ago, I gave the scoop on this. Four months ago!

Either that's a really long notice period or the Post is really crap at scoops.
Arnaldo Abrantes sounds like Zorro’s arch-nemesis.
Former junior champion sprinter for Portugal
I’m in Portugal at the mo. I’ll have a look around for his replacement.

You'll have to run fast.
What does that mean?

Spurs are paying us in instalments for Brennan, so we've borrowed the full amount to have on hand now and will use the instalments to pay back the loan. I think.

Yes that's right.
Another way to think of it, is we've all the Johnson money now in our bank, minus a few millions. Rather than getting it in chunks. Good for our accounts this year.
The future payments from Spurs now go to McQuarie instead of us. Bad for our accounts in the next few years.
This seems to be a fairly common thing now.
It actually makes our accounts a little worse this year in profit terms as there will be interest there but helps our cash flow.
The transfer fee profit is recognised when the sale is made, the installments just impact on our bank account/amount needed from Mr M
It also means we don't have to lug those big tellys down to Cash Converters which is something of a result because that'd be a right faff.
