I realise this is a simple sum to do, but Paul Taylor's latest article makes a compelling argument for Forest being one of the most attractive clubs in the world for a young up and coming player right now, because we spent around 100M on Neco, Murillo, MGW, Danilo, CHO and Elanga, and all bar probably Danilo would sell for many times what we paid for them to a top club in Europe.

Does he conveniently ignore all the other ones that didn't get better?

Talking of which, is Omar Richards still ours?

Only for one more year, along with Emmanuel Dennis and Josh Bowler.

Tbf Dennis was a gamble for as we were trying to build a side that could scrape 17th in our first season. Bowler was Championship insurance that we never needed. No idea what Richards was.

Richards had been playing intermittently for Bayern when we repatriated him. If his leg hadn’t been broken, there’s every chance he’d had worked out as well as Neco.

Dennis had scored double figures for Watford as they went down and had played champions league before that. He was a perfectly reasonable signing that didn’t work out. They happen at every club.

I think it's clear in retrospect that Dennis's freelance approach to the sport was never going to make sense with the way SSC and then Nuno set us out to play. I feel like our recruitment is much more considered and scientific now.

Forest have just sent out a very vague Forest x Adidas email. I presume kit launch coming.

Aina’s new deal announced on the website. Fantastic to get him and Neco both signed up.

Great news. Just leaves CHO as our high risk contract now and maybe MGW as a conversation point.

Josh Bowler and Lewis O'Brien are sad.

Josh Bowler can't run properly...certainly not into our first team.

LO'B did a job for us. Wish him the best for the future...it wont be with us.

Neco shown doing physical testing, so either the injury he got playing for Wales wasn't too bad or the club is bluffing again. Also the physio with the Oasis hair is there, so didn't pay the price for the Awoniyi debacle.
