I don't know what happens when Morgan goes, but I can see Anderson playing that more advanced role

I'm pretty convinced that he was bought with this in mind. Likely thinking he'd be coming on from the bench regularly this season. But he's forced his way into the team in an unexpected position.

I agreed but, after this season, if Morgan goes, I think we'll play more of a 433. Villa and Chelsea are the only teams above us who usually play with a 10 (admittedly small sample size) and that's because Rogers and Palmer are exceptional. There's a reason why we often get outnumbered and bullied in midfield.

Anderson has looked better as an 8 - I'm not sure he's got the pace to play as a 10.

    Psychobel likes this.

In our current guise you are probably correct. If we try to develop a more possession-based game (which I expect we will try to) then it becomes less of an issue.

    Unsurprisingly on telly on Sunday.

Is MGW Dennis-quick, or is he Dennis-slow?

It's quick thought, coupled to an extraordinary first touch to open up angles while retaining possession. Not so much over the ground quick, but quick enough at that.

I noticed his speed with that goal against West Ham. Although the goalie gave it away it wasn't exactly a tap in. He was on it in a flash, great reactions, touch and finish.

We'll remain fundamentally a counter attacking team for as long as Nuno is manager.

We will have more possession next season as we'll be seen as a greater threat by the mid ranking teams (i.e. our peers) and they won't let us get away with playing how we want.

Maybe a quicker centre forward (Delap?) could compensate for a slower 10? Don't know. Will be interesting to see.

Apparently we're the first team in Premier League history to record more than double our previous season's point tally, although it's slightly disingenuous given we had a 4 point deduction last year.

It’s not. We got a deduction so out final points tally was 32. It would have got us relegated had the other teams not been so shit. So I’m claiming that record.

Nice “who scouted them” article in T’Athletic. Most of the first team, except Nico Dominguez and Sangare….all very warm and fuzzy.

I see the rumours of Nuno's departure have started.
Linked with Roma earlier today, now Footmercato reporting he could leave due to "internal tensions" at Forest.

Contract's up in a year isn't it? Mendes doing his job then.

The Premier League are clearly trolling us. Sunday’s ref is Anthony Taylor.

Mind you, Chelsea hate him too

Marinakis apparently fuming at drop off in form, despite the "you didn't see what you saw" moment.

How do you know this? Has he specifically used the terms “fucked it” or “bottled it?”
