And Forest win a 12 pen shootout 5-4!
So triumph for both the senior youth and women, with the mens's first team having had a blinder and on course for some sort of European place finish.
Not too shit then. How are the Netball lot doing?
“Premier League International Cup”, no less. Sounds impressive, whack it on the list of honours on the BC/Bridgford Stands.
'Premier League International Cup winners, you'll never sing that. Even if you win it. Because it's too much of a mouthful'.
My eldest saw that and thought we'd won the actual Premier League, bless.
That's next year
According to my sister, who is a National level netball official and has worked several Forest games, they're surprising everyone with how good they are as a startup team. They beat the only remaining undefeated team in the league last weekend.
Also, apparently the game day experience that Forest have put together is already the best in the league.
Little Miss BW has really got into netball since starting secondary school this year. We took her to Loughborough Lightning the other week, which was great fun, and will be at Forest later in the month when, I think, she and some of her teammates have been selected as ball girls.
Yeah, that was my take. Very much mid-table (5th out of eight, W4 L4 - three points off fourth, top four make play-offs AIUI), but for a start-up team, doing well, massively over-performing compared with external expectations, although Maranakis is probably raging that they are not runaway leaders.
The cull has started.
B team player Sam Collins (who signed a one-year deal last summer after missing much of the previous season with a broken leg) has revealed he has been let go.
This is a quite astonishing statement on a number of fronts...
I don't believe a word of it. Seems like a White House statement. Good grief.
Anyway I think Taiwo will be moved on this summer in an act of mercy.
Ooooof.
Chicago: Applying to be head of PR.
Should've just shut up and got on with things. Guessing the physio has his P45, nice scapegoat.
