You'll be complaining that the Health Secretary isn't allowed shares in Astra-Zeneca next.

Somewhat different given that could involve public money for personal gain.

    It was a crap joke.

Clearly even worse than I thought.

As we wave goodbye to the era of legislative compliance, and welcome in that of property development.

Well, they've been promising to develop the property for the last 4 years. Maybe they'll actually get on with it.

(Seriously, isn't it a conflict of interest that he's also on the board of the architects they are using?)

Is that a problem? I can’t see how.

Imagine if some people at the club felt Benoy weren't doing a very good job. How bad would they have to be before the club would terminate the contract (or sue)?

I guess, if Marinakis felt that was the case, he'd just sack Cartledge and crack on but still seems less than ideal.

I'm guessing Benoy are deep enough in now that it would take something spectacular to kick them out - I'm not an expert but I'd guess that most of their work is done in the design and planning phases, which I believe are mostly complete now.

I once met his dad (Graham, so Google tells me) in the director's lounge at Cardiff away in the Billy Davies era. His mate Mark Arthur had asked him onto the board.

A quick look at the Benoy website at least gives the impression they know what they are doing. Hopefully this appointment will get things moving.

    We have a sponsor! www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/news/2023/august/30/forest-announce-kaiyun-sports-as-front-of-shirt-partner/

    Quoted message:

Kaiyun Sports, the prominent Asian digital sports platform.

Apart from "Kaiyun", I know what all those words mean but together ... not so much.

Are there many non top six teams without a betting sponsor?

I would prefer not too, but it feels inevitable

They don't seem to have a UK presence yet so at least they are only fleecing foreign types.

Club statement really seems to dance around these guys being a gambling sponsor instead going for the streaming angle.

    Bit dodge.

Ugh. Over a year to find a sponsor and they come up with that. And they don’t even have the balls to admit that it’s a gambling company. Do better Forest.

Not sure why. Under Marinakis we had 888Sports for 2 years, Betbright for a year and football index for 18 months until they collapsed, like the ponzi they were.

I hoped that the UNHCR deal meant that we'd seen the light. Clearly not. We seem to have seen the money instead.
