Was Lee Chapman a Chris Wood prototype?

I've just noticed that the post in question was indeed made on April 30th. Typical Hunsbook - ad, ad, ad, groups you might be interested in (no), people you might know (no), pages you might like to follow (no) and then a several days old post. I do bother fewer less with it these days, but it's still quite good for keeping vaguely in touch with people without actually keeping in touch with them.

Chapman carved out a decent career doing just that.

He was quite second phase, back post, tap in, wasn't he?

....although he did get ahead of the defender sometimes, and was decent with his noggin.

There were a few seasons post Dad retiring from refereeing a decent level of Leicestershire Rugby and me joining Leicester Hockey Club - both of which took up Saturday afternoons - that saw us go from attending occasionally to semi-regularly. I saw quite a lot of Chappo. He was pretty effective in that team. Basically if you got the ball to him 'in and around the 6 yard box' he'd get it in the net. Not pretty, but pretty effective.
We were also at the game where from the Trent End we saw him running the channel towards the right wing, collapse in a heap and nothing was given. Afterwards it turned out he had dived and Brian allegedy asked him after the game if he had dived. When Chappo admitted it Brian - again allegedly - told him that if he did it again he would be dropped and sold.

And perhaps my favourite Chappo goal was a cup tie v Everton. With seconds left at 0-0 and everyone around us were resigning themselves to a replay and starting to deflate their inflatables (remember those?) Southall was penalised for holding on to the ball too long. Young Nige waited for Chappo to bulldoze from deep before sliding it in for him to bully it in at the near post.

Selz, Milenkovic and Wood named to the EA Sports EPL Team of the Year.

There's a good dollop of big club bias in there. They should apply for the England job.

I’m one of the blurry figures jumping around in the Trent end in that clip.

Was just reading Northampton fans views on Forest loanee Ben Perry. Really liked him but don’t think they’d be able to afford him. Hopefully a championship/higher L1 loan for him next.

Club has sent out a survey (presumably not just to me) that seems to be testing the waters on the state of their pre-match eating/drinking/entertainment offering and general stuff about improving the ground.

    Also considering:
Expansions to provide more seating in GA areas (standard season tickets and single match tickets) and / or hospitality areas
Enhancements and expansions to concourse areas
Increases and improvements in food and beverage and retail offerings
    Improvements in hospitality areas
The introduction of new social gathering spaces, among many others

Feels like something you'd want to find out at the start of the planning for ground improvements, rather than 6 years down the line. But maybe I'm naive.

Only if you believed it would be less than five years from a stated ground improvement plan, to something actually happening.
